Afghan Journalist Sentenced to Death For Mocking Islam

In news from Afghanistan, an Afghan court has sentenced a 23-year-old newspaper journalist to death after he was accused of mocking Islam and the Koran. The journalist—Sayed Perwiz Kambakhsh – was detained three months ago for distributing articles downloaded from the Internet which said the Prophet Mohammad had ignored the rights of women.
