I would rather see McCain get the nod if Ron Paul didn't make it. McCain seems to at least have the best interest in his mind for the country, not the corporations. Even though he wants to stay in Iraq.

Why would we be screwed?
They appear to be two sides of the same coin - same old Washington. Similar views on some issues as well. Although pinning down Hillary is hard and McCain is pretty hypocritical - both with hot tempers. And they're friends, no less. How weird.

McCain was behind the border security sell-out bill. Don't confuse what he says with what he actually intends.
But they both want very different things then the PNAC. That means the odds are pretty good we'll get a better economy and hopefully fiscal conservatism again.
They're actually both very different then the Neocons. Sure McCain is talking the talk right now but he's done a much better job in the past.

If Romney and Hillary are the big two, THEN we're all screwed.

You got Hillary Obama ticket against Mccain and a heavy hitter conservative from the south. Mitts gone after super tuesday.

If Obama runs as Hillary's VP, he loses all his credibility with his "politics of change" message.

He will promote himself as staying on track .
This is much better done from a posistion of strength than weakness.
He will see Hillary as not as far of as he thought. You can always pull this post later and post for a laugh if I am so wrong.

There has been simply too much 'race-baiting' by the Clinton's to make Obama look legit if he accepts VP under Hillary.

It just our opinions you could be right. Time will tell.
I do see Hillary and Obama as unstoppable, although the gop has nothing to offer anyway. If your a conservate you like Romney or at least where he is now, Huckabee is bright and funny but his past wont let him in as a republican. Mccain is Hillary in drag.

Obama runs the risk of looking like 'Uncle Tom" if he runs as Hillary's VP.

Slick Willie proved we weren't when he mentioned how Jesse Jackson won South Carolina.

Besides...according to you the "whole game is rigged".

If you dont see the rig, let me ask you this.
I see many motivated and certainly more intelligent people than me on this site alone.
If we all got together and tryed to get someone we all admired into office what would be the chance.
Even if we raised the money and paid the election commitee their fees.
I see a maze that only pros can navigate. They must appease government and business lobbist or they will be stomped at the gate.
Am I so wrong on this also?

We're past that point. At least the Democrats are. I don't know about Repugthugs.

I think I am republican, it hard to tell anymore.
But anyone so unevolved as to be a bigot is an embarrassment to us all.

Moderate Repubs, certainly. Repugthugs are anybody's guess.

ABSOLUTELY, although pure conservative or pure liberal thought is for the wackos.

Yea Bill, remember the last time we had a Democrap President, and Congress.
We damn near lost the country!
Hell, lets just do it again!!!!

What was so bad about the last time?
Median income rose 15% instead of dropping.
Fewer people lost homes.
We created more jobs.
We had fewer illegals here.
9/11 didn't happen then.
Health care was 1/2 the price.
Gasoline was 60% lower.
There was no war.
Damn, things were really terrible back then.
Pubs and conservatives are no longer interchangeable terms IMO.
You're right. They haven't been for well over a decade.

Bill Clinton's diddling led to 9/11

Bill Clinton's diddling led to 9/11
No ....... it led to the first WTC attack, two African Embassy bombings, the Kobar Towers attack, the USS Cole bombing - and then 911.
