Michigan Democrats For Romney

On metafilter today an entry about a movement among michagian democrats (shut out of the democratic primary for deciding to hold an early primary against dem party rules) to vote for Romney, to keep the republican field divided, turning against the republicans similar dirty tricks they've used in the past.


"Democrats, do you want this primary season to be over, or do you want it to be hilarious?"

Michigan Democrats for Romney is an effort by mischievous Michigan Democrats to take advantage of the uncompetitive January 15th "beauty contest" primary on the Democratic side by encouraging Democratic voters to vote for Mitt Romney in the Republican primary so that Romney won't drop out of the primary race after making his last stand in Michigan. Similar hijinks by Michigan Republicans in 1972 led to George Wallace's victory in the Democratic presidential primary that year.

Now if we can keep them inflamed & ripping one another apart.

I notice Edwards seems to be holding very respectable 3rd places in South Carolina & Nevada. He is only a few percent behind either of the leaders.

If Hillary & Obama can't put a chill on their spats, Edwards will look better & better.
