What exactly is the benefits of the U.S. being part of the UN? We pay something like 25% of the operating expenses and what does the U.S. get in return?
As far as I can see the UN has been incompetent, corrupt, and a complete waste of time for the past decade or so. They're not even a paper tiger anymore and Koffi Annan, why is he still there?
So far the only thing that's going in favor of the UN is their charitable work, but in every other avenue they're a failure. Maybe it's time to make The UN a memory like The League of Nations.
