That's sad news. This is a post made by a friend, which he wrote in the case of the death:

The military stopped him from blogging earlier this year.

He sounds like he was a cool guy - lots of quotes from Babylon 5 - I probably would have enjoyed bullshitting with him.

From the last post he wrote before his death post, posting as G'Kar:

"I realize that there is a rather significant fraction of the electorate who seems to think that our problem in the years following the September 11th attacks has been that we haven't used our military enough. We've had troops in Afghanistan since late 2001, troops in Iraq since mid-2003, neither commitment appears likely to end soon, and yet there are a nontrivial number of voters who think it's vital that we get busy bombing Iran because they might produce a few nuclear weapons.".

He sounds very Blue.

Anytime a press person is killed be very careful that the US military or government hands are not all over it.

They mass murdered Al Jazeera in both Afghanistan & in Iraq newsrooms.

This is a very wicked, cruel, ruthless war machine.
They wantonly murder by the thousands, a few hundred reporters are nothing. Especially ones reporting the ugly truth.
