Hmm - 13 days before an election all of a sudden Bush is claiming not only that we need to be flexible, but that he never said we have to stay the course???? WTF???
Maybe he's been wearing flip-flops lately?
I do wonder if the army is suffering from low morale because of being badly led and used for political purposes.

Morale goes down, when our boy's K.I.A. number's go up.Poor leadership by whom? The Div.Commander, the pentagon, the joint chief's of staff, exxon? Boredom, and not knowing what ideological purpose they are fighting for, wondering if their fellow american's support them in their task, whatever it may be... the real truth, the who did or did'nt do this,or why...Should not matter to a soldier.A soldier "follows" orders,he does not question them...Too bad Bob Hope is'nt still alive and doing U.S.O.show's.He'd boost that poor morale.OR NOT!!
What he's saying now is that "Stay the course" has always meant continue on with the strategy and the strategy has always been to be flexible and not give out any details.
The funny thing is that his followers will ignore the facts, ignore his history, ignore what they've heard and believe him today.

I wonder what reaction the civilian population of the U.S.A. would have if they were made privey to the complete, unedited,or altered truth as to who was responcible for the WTC disaster?(Blbg#7 included) I'd say little to none! I say this because "people are going to beleive what they want to beleive!" If I am right,or wrong will never be proven...("say you want a revolution, well you know we all want to change the world....")

It's nice to say, it's what the training is supposed to produce, but the reality is that armies are organizations of humans, and after a certain period of time has passed, the effects of the training are no longer consistent.
The mood and morale of the troops is always a primary consideration of all commanders.
What I've heard from friends in the military - the guard, technically - is that the mid level officers are experiencing a lot of confusion. Since the actual invasion, the troops are being asked to serve political goals, a lot of the orders are vague, supposedly to prevent political consequences - it's a fucked up situation.
We've taken the best field army in the world, and turned them all into occupation MPs policing a hostile population.
You can tell me "it should not matter" all night long - it matters.

DC is a nest of sociopathic liars, thieves and killers...they will never own up to it...,and they will do all of the above to avoid and abort a trial...but, on the other hand, people aren't stupid, and each person will judge them guilty in their hearts, and know them for the monster they are...and deal with them.
I am certain as evidence mounts and their crimes become less and less escapable, even to the resistant mind, there is an exponential iresistable anger growing... not only among those outraged, but by the thousands of relations of those so mechanically murdered so bush could go chase oil.
I believe the fat lady will sing, but it won't be on the courthouse steps...more like on the seventh hole near the green.

Its funny that you say that in a dark way - that is EXACTLY the same thing I heard from friends during VietNam - and unfortunately the political goals have changed on almost a day by day basis
One thing I did note during Bush's "press conf" today (amazing how he's doing these every day now) - he actually changed the course to protecting the oil from terrorists - first time I heard him go down that road - its no longer setting up democracy (he caved on that one today) and preventing fighting the terrorists here instead of there (he gave that one up too)

If he would have said that 4 years ago he might have support now. At least I would have more respect for him and his supporters. Now that's he'c come clean what will his supporters do?

Tommy, are you going to believe your own eyes and ears or are you going to listen to PNAC? Stop letting the facts get in the way :)
