I remember watching vietnam every night on the nightly news wondering if i would be drafted when i came of age. I was a nervous kid & i was worried. I would have had no clue about doing anything other than what authorities told me.

That is back when the American people got actual reporting from the nation's wars. We are so disconnected from Iraq. Sadly we will foot the bill in so many ways. I think the American people are living in several different kinds of credit card fantasyland.

Instead of the nation lowering the threat of terrorism it is raising it while its people are asleep.

I think wars demand responsibility, honesty & accountability.

We have no draft.
We pay for it by robbing our children.
Much of that money goes to pure looting by corporations.
We only see very tepid filtered instants of its violent blood & gore on corporate TV.
We don't even see the flag draped coffins of soldiers like we are too ashamed of what we are doing.

America the land of irresponsibility, from top to bottom.

I feel so ambivalent about America at this point.
We aren't even honest mercenaries. We even rationalize that with fantastic delusions.
