I'm confused? I would understand if I came here posting spam and shit, but seriously, I wasn't spamming the forum... I make one post, ONE POST and it's considered spam? Did you even look at the site that the link I posted points to? It is highly relevant to these forums. I expected people here to care enough about the US to try help me with this huge burden, but instead, you close the thread and make fun of me?
No wonder this Country is so fucked. I'm trying to help everyone in this forum (that are from the US) and this is the response I get?
Is it because I pose a threat as a competing site, or because you honestly call charitable, non-profit organizations spammers?
I'm not trying to start shit, I'm just honestly wondering how I could have gone about this differently and gotten different results. Should I have contacted the moderators first and explained my situation?
Thanks for your time,
Andrew DuVal

I think its just policy to get rid of any posts like that.
Not becuase any one might be bad but becuase if you let one do it you have to let all of them do it and thats a recipe for some serious spam.
Your first post was an advertisement. How is that not spam? Your post was not deleted as other spam on every other board is. You are welcome to come chat and share thoughts.

Please, we are thinking adults here. Your either/or only options may work when you're selling cars or trying to convince the weak minded to follow but that doesn't mean they will work here.
Feel free to offer your advertisement in your signature and join in the discussion.
We would love to hear your point of view and read the signature of any contributing member.

well thank you. sorry if I came off a bit harsh, I got treated very poorly in another big political forum and I guess I expected the same kind of treatment here. I shouldn't have, from your replies I can tell you're pretty decent people :)
with that said, I'd love to join the discussion!
can someone close this thread please?
thanks

actually, one more thing:
where should I post if I'd like to get a feel for what people think of what I'm doing? I don't want it to be an advertisement, I'm doing this for the people of the US and I'd really like to hear what they think, how I could improve it, etc. without violating forum policies.

Interesting concept. I'm not sure how well it would work on a local level but nationally, it has some possibilities for sure.

yeah, what's in the blog is basically what I'm going to do...
and I do think it could work on a local level, but you're right, it would take time and require participation from all levels, across the nation.
with the site in the condition that it's currently in, that's highly unlikely. I do have an web-based application coming out as soon as I can raise the funding for it that will change all that though. I think it should created a renewed interest in politics for all US voters that know how to use a computer. :D
so that's how I plan to get people involved at the local level.
