View Full Version : Why do liberals think the world owes them something?

I'm not bashing to be bashing but I noticed a fundamental difference in the mind of the typical lib vs. the typical conservative. Libs feel that the world really does owe them something. With no mind as to where the money will come from. No care as to how hard someone worked for it. It is of no consequence to them....am I missing something??.

You may be thinking of Lib offspring. They come out of the womb as ULTRA LIBERALS - feeling (a) entitled (b) enraged with America (c) nostalgic for Good old-fashioned strict socialist regimes.

They are later taught-as part of their toilet training- their feces do NOT stink, and are a wonderful gift to under-fecalized Americans everywhere.

I could continue, but I'm not sure I have the earthly time to do so.

Actually, liberals care about getting things to OTHERS who are in need.

I don't know ANYBODY who has asked for anything from anybody - and I know ALOT of liberals.

... and, btw, who are you kidding? - you are definitely bashing to be bashing.

Youre my friend TR so its not meant to offend you. Lemme reduce it to the 80/20 rule. 80% of liberals are that way. And that is about right in my IRL experience and seriously, I am only being kind. Maybe your experience is different but mine isn't....I have a bad habit of only looking for the good in people but I am learning to smarten up and move away from that...

You think this way because you seek it out. It's ok though Libs do the same and genuinely feel the same way about conservatives.

Both sides are obviously wrong of course but it is what it is and you KNOW that isn't gonna change anytime soon lol.

The good news is you're completely normal and think the same way everyone else does.

The bad news is you're completely normal and think the same way everyone else does.

:D

You have it backwards.
Liberals believe we all owe something BACK to the community.
No one ever became rich on their own.
They had the help of public infrastructure.
Schools, roads, police & fire protection, government protections against fraud and other crime.
Liberals believe we are all part of a society and we owe a debt to that society.

It's Conservatives who want to get "something for nothing".

Are only liberals accepting unemployment checks?

Are only liberals on Medicare/Medicaid?

Are only liberals on welfare?

I think conservatives seem to think that they're owed too. They just complain about giving anything to others.

If only liberals were the leaders when it came to charities, they aren't. Your example is false.

yeah, yeah, yeah.

The biggest corporate thugs are right wing, so, yes, they are capable of giving more money.

I believe the left is more compassionate and individually more giving. The right just has bigger robber baron bazillionaires, so they have a larger bottom line.

you know - statistics, damned statistics, and then the truth ....

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you mean like George Soros, Bill Gates, the Kennedys, the Heinz and Kerrys? Are they all right wing, seriously?

I didn't say there were no wealthy people who lean left.

I said the biggest corporate thugs are right wing.

I stand by that.

Woodrow Wilson and the dems were the thugs who created the Federal Reserve.

FDR stole the peoples' gold and created the SS ponzi scheme.

Post Civil War, the "North" created the 14th amendment which laid the foundation for the creation of corporate personhood. The Dems are the master corporate whores with their agenda of big gov't.

doctordog,
You assume that Liberals list all their contributions to charity on their income tax returns.
We don't.
You think Liberals only give to charity to get a tax write-off.
We don't.

That's what Conservatives do.
We are NOT Conservatives.

Either you are lying or you are stupid, which is it?

Mac McFadden

Neither.
I give money to "charities" that don't qualify for IRS tax exempt status.
Those donations are not tax deductible.

what was the point of posting that?

Mac McFadden

Dog considers it stupid to give money to charity if it can't be deducted from your income taxes.
In other words; the ONLY reason he gives to charity is for the tax deduction.

I probably do a lot of things he considers stupid.
Like pay my employees above market scale wages.
Like provide them with Health Insurance coverage.
Like having a profit sharing plan.

In return, I have some of the most loyal employees in the entire state.
Plus I sleep soundly at night.
And I can look in the mirror without feeling ashamed.
