I think in the past decade or so there has been a large push to put people into buckets. Things are either left or right, good or evil, red or blue. I think it’s an amazing phenomenon that a brilliant drug addict stumbled upon.

Quite some time ago Rush started adding simple labels to things and distilling complex issues into either conservative or liberal. Suddenly people that had a hard time understanding complex issues could relate and learn enough to feel they had an understanding by listening on the ride home for work. No effort and no though involved. No need to think about consequences either. Things were either right or wrong and there was no in between.

Global markets, world peace, socio-economics and other very complex issues could suddenly be boiled down to either A or B.

While many people are drawn to this type of thinking it simply doesn’t apply to the real world. Economics, global markets, world peace and most issues involving national and world politics are simply too complex to be boiled down into simple Yes or No terms but that doesn’t stop the conservative media.

The next time your discussing a complex issue and you here, “It’s a simple yes or no question” understand that the person either things you’re simple or they’re simple. If the issues really were that simple then we’d have little computer programs that govern the world.

Rush, Mike, Sean, Bill and Glenn may be very smart but they think your idiots and they treat you that way.

It's a simple yes or no question. Do you have a fear of buckets? :D

In my best Glenn Beck voice ...
OK, so what you're saying is that we should stop importing oil and start burning Iraqi civilians for fuel.

In my best shocked Bill O voice
So you just said that anyone against drilling for oil in the middle of New York city should be chopped up and used for fuel. I couldn't agree more.

In my best angry Mike Savage voice
Trying to use more then 2 buckets is a mental disorder.

In my best stupid Sean voice
It doesn't say anywhere in The Constitution that you have the right to live outside of a bucket.

In my best Anne Coulter voice with my eyes rolled up into no where
I've never seen anyone take so much pleasure in the chopping up of their husbands.

Did I offend people with this post? I started off trying to make a point but then the funny side of things took over.

You make a good point ........

BUT, there is a clear extreme right-wing and left-wing. And the Leftists are doing the exact same thing. And the majority of people are in the middle, sick of both sides' extremes.

I laughed. But then, as Frankg's post pointed out, I'm probably not mentally healthy. Being a liberal and all. :D

Humor is good.

Maybe it just seems like there's a lot of right extremists because they flock to the radio and TV and listen to every word that is said by Rush, Mike, Sean and Bill. They then repeat little phrases while having no understanding of what those phrases really mean and because they suddenly have a bucket to piss in they feel enlightened.

There are some major wackos on the left but they don't have the press coverage that the "liberal media" gives to the right wing wackos?

LOL....it's rather funny that the oxygen deprived Right wing faction is labelling the "libruls" as mentally deficient. Who supports the President who publicly announced that God talks to him?

Ha...ha...ha...yup! They're a real stable group indeed. Clinton lied about a BJ; G Dub runs around exclaiming God told him to invade Iraq. :lmao2:
