I am going to try and keep this blog updated with helpful information for anything that may or may not happen in the US after consolidation by the Global Banking elite takes place.
This is from a site calling itself "Surviving the Modern World"
From hoof to sausage: processing a wild hog from start to finish
A million uses for pig fat.
Well, maybe there aren’t so many. But it was an interesting discussion as part of The Human Path‘s recent day-long class on processing large game taught by wildlife biologist Greg Pleasant.
In the class, we learned how to humanely kill, bleed out, quarter, butcher, and render an entire wild hog. Many of the day’s students have never gone hunting (including me), so this was the first time we had ever participated in something like this. As one person commented, the only time she’d ever used a knife to cut open her meat was when she cut open the plastic wrappers.
And just as it was new, it was also difficult. The pig was a cute brown girl who snuffled your hand with her snout and liked it when you scratched behind her ears. None of us therefore really wanted her to die. But as hard as it was to kill her, the reality is that bacon just doesn’t grow on trees.
She had been treated well, with respect, for her whole life (she was from a wild mother, but had been bottle fed and raised on a farm). I knew exactly how she died and how her meat was processed, because I was there for everything from the skinning to the meat cutting to the sausage making, and I cooked the final product. Later, we even rendered the left-over fat and made lard, which we subsequently turned into lye soap.
It really changes how you view your food when you have that connection to where it came from, and when your own labor puts it on your plate. It’s like gardening… there’s a satisfaction you get from eating a salad with your own tomatoes… but it’s also more than that, because this was a living, breathing, sentient creature that became dinner.
As part of the class, we learned how to first kill humanely, how to bleed out a large animal, and how to remove the hide and quarter the animal. Most of us took turns, first by holding the pig, cutting up the carcass with the knife, or processing and packing the meat and sausage. In this way, we each took part in the process according to our own desire and comfort levels, and as a result, it became a community activity.
Thinking about the experience, the lyrics of the Decemberist song Red Right Ankle seemed to have new meaning:
This is the story of your red right ankle
And how it came to meet your leg
And how the muscle, bone, and sinews tangled
And how the skin was softly shed
And how it whispered “Oh, adhere to me
For we are bound by symmetry
And whatever differences our lives have been
We together make a limb.”
This is the story of your red right ankle.
Taking part in the slaughter of an animal and going through this whole process offers a whole new way to understand how we – humans and animals, as part of nature – are all interconnected.

Beer is a "must" for anyone who wants an easy way to produce nutrition and a good bartering source.
Did you know that beer was critical to the birth of civilization? That’s right – beer.
Scientists and historians line up to tell the amazing, untold story of how beer helped create math, poetry, pyramids, modern medicine, labor laws, and America.
If you think beer is just something cold and filling to drink during sporting matches or in the kind of bars that you probably shouldn’t order wine in, then, boy, are you ever in the dark.
It turns out beer is responsible for, like, all the greatest things on earth. Learn more about what beer did for you.

How To Prepare For The Difficult Years Ahead
How should people prepare for the difficult years that are coming? I get asked about that a lot. Once people really examine the facts, it is not too hard to convince them that an economic collapse is coming. But once they accept that reality, most of them want to know what they can do to prepare themselves and their families for the hard times that are ahead. Well, the truth is that it does not have to be complicated. Many of the things discussed throughout this article are things that most of us should be doing anyway. Now is not the time to be splurging on luxuries or expensive vacations. Now is not the time to be going into large amounts of debt. Instead, we all need to get back to the basics and we all need to do what we can to become more independent of the system. Just remember what happened back in 2008. Millions of Americans lost their jobs and millions of Americans lost their homes. Now experts all over the globe are warning that another great financial crisis that could be just as bad as 2008 (or even worse) is coming. Those that don't take the time to prepare this time are not going to have any excuse.
But there is also a lot of sensationalism out there. There are some people out there that claim that the economy is going to collapse all at once and that we are going to go from where we are now to some type of a post-apocalyptic "Mad Max" society almost overnight.
Well, that is just not going to happen. We are not going to wake up next week in a world where we are all fighting each other with sharp pointed sticks.
Just like anything else, an economic collapse takes time. I like to describe what is happening using an analogy from the beach. When you build a mighty sand castle, it is not totally destroyed by the first wave that comes along, right?
Well, it is the same thing with the U.S. economy. It was the greatest economic machine that the world has ever seen, and it is most definitely in decline. But there are stages to that decline.
The "wave" that came along in 2008 did a huge amount of damage. Our economy has not recovered from that.
Now another wave is coming. But that will not be the end. There will be other waves after that.
Eventually, this thing is coming all the way down. Someday America will be such a horror show that it will be hard to believe that it is the same place that many of us grew up in.
But in the short-term, we are going to be facing a major league recession and millions of Americans will lose their jobs. It won't be the end of the world, but for some people it may feel like it.
So when you are talking about "how to prepare", the truth is that it depends on what kind of time frame you are talking about.
In the long-term, a lot of the things that even the hardcore survivalists are doing will not be nearly enough.
In the short-term, there are things that all of us can do to weather the coming storm....
Get Out Of Debt
The global financial system is headed for a massive crisis. Just like in 2008, a lot of people are going to lose their jobs and a lot of people are going to lose their homes.
In such an environment, it makes sense to travel as "lightly" as possible.
That means getting rid of debt.
Some forms of debt are worse than others. Mortgage debt is not that bad. We all need somewhere to live, and not all of us can run out and immediately pay off our mortgages.
But there are other forms of debt that are absolutely toxic. A good example of this is credit card debt. There are very few things that are as good at bleeding your finances as credit card debt is. For example, according to the credit card repayment calculator, if you have a $6000 balance on a credit card with a 20 percent interest rate and only pay the minimum payment each time, it will take you 54 years to pay off that credit card.
During those 54 years you will pay $26,168 in interest rate charges on that credit card balance in addition to the $6000 in principal that you are required to pay back. That is before any fees or penalties are even calculated.
But a lot of Americans still have not learned to stay away from credit card debt. In fact, one out of every seven Americans has at least 10 credit cards.
Ouch.
The truth is that in future years there is a good chance that you may be facing a situation where you are not making as much income, so you want to try to start reducing your expenses right now. Getting out of debt will help you to do this.
Save Money
A shockingly high number of American families are operating without any kind of financial cushion whatsoever....
-According to a Harris Interactive survey taken in 2010, 77 percent of all Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.
-According to one recent survey, one out of every three Americans would not be able to make a mortgage or rent payment next month if they suddenly lost their current job.
This is one reason why so many Americans have lost their homes and why so many Americans have fallen below the poverty level in recent years. They simply had no cushion.
Last year, 2.6 million more Americans dropped into poverty. That was the largest increase that we have seen since the U.S. government began keeping statistics on this back in 1959.
Don't let this happen to you. At a minimum, everyone out there should have a cushion that will cover at least 6 months worth of expenses. Preferably, you should have a cushion that will last you at least a year.
Yes, I know that is a tall order. But you would be amazed at how much money the average American family wastes in a typical month. Almost all of us have areas where we can cut back.
Trust me, in the middle of a major recession you will be really glad that you are sitting on a pile of savings.
Get Independent Of The System
What would you do if you lost your job tomorrow?
Would you have any other income?
How long would it be before you lost your home?
Those are very important questions.
The truth is that the system is failing and so we all need to work hard to become more independent of the system.
So what does that mean?
Well, instead of relying on someone else to employ you indefinitely, you can start up a business in your spare time. Yes, it will cut into your television time, but if someday you lose your job you will be extremely happy that you still have some income coming in.
Another way of becoming more independent is to start a garden.
Yes, you can run down the street and buy giant piles of cheap food right now, but that will not be the case forever.
Store Food And Focus On The Essentials
I might get into a little trouble for saying this, but the truth is that there is not going to be a major famine in America in 2012.
However, that does not mean that you should not be storing food and other essentials.
In the old days, our grandparents always saved up food. It was just a natural thing for them to do. This was especially the case if they lived through the Great Depression.
When hard times come, you will be glad that you have food stored up. Plus, food is never going to be cheaper than it is today. Having food stored up is a great hedge against the rising food prices that we will see in the future.
No, we are not going to see hyperinflation by the end of the year like many of the sensationalists are warning. But someday you will be really glad that you stored up food for yourself and your family.
We live in a world that is becoming more unstable with each passing month. You never know when the next natural disaster, pandemic, war or national emergency will strike.
It only makes sense to store food and other basic essentials that you will need in the future.
In a previous article entitled "20 Things You Will Need To Survive When The Economy Collapses And The Next Great Depression Begins", I listed 20 of the things that you would need in the event of a major disaster, a national emergency or a total economic collapse. These are things that you are going to want to make sure that you have ready right now, because after the crisis begins it may be too late to prepare....
#1) Storable Food
#2) Clean Water
#3) Shelter
#4) Warm Clothing
#5) An Axe
#6) Lighters Or Matches
#7) Hiking Boots Or Comfortable Shoes
#8) A Flashlight And/Or Lantern
#9) A Radio
#10) Communication Equipment
#11) A Swiss Army Knife
#12) Personal Hygiene Items
#13) A First Aid Kit And Other Medical Supplies
#14) Extra Gasoline (But Be Very Careful How You Store It)
#15) A Sewing Kit
#16) Self-Defense Equipment
#17) A Compass
#18) A Hiking Backpack
#19) A Community
#20) A Backup Plan
In the comments to that article, the readers suggested the following additional items....
A K-Bar Fighting Knife
Salt
Extra Batteries
Medicine
A Camp Stove
Propane
Pet Food
Heirloom Seeds
Tools
An LED Headlamp
Candles
Clorox
Calcium Hypochlorite
Ziplock Bags
Maps Of Your Area
Binoculars
Sleeping Bags
Rifle For Hunting
Extra Socks
Gloves
Gold And Silver Coins For Bartering
Once again, a lot of these things are not going to be needed right away. The economy is going to go through a lot more ups and downs before it totally dies.
In the short-term, keep an eye on the European debt crisis, the Japanese debt crisis and the U.S. debt crisis. There are a lot of similarities between what happened back in 2008 and what is happening now.
And what happened following the crisis of 2008?
Unemployment shot through the roof.
So be prepared for that.
Make a plan for how you and your family will survive if you end up unemployed.
Also, when it comes to "how to prepare", there is one aspect that is often overlooked.
During the difficult years ahead, we are all going to have to be mentally and spiritually tough.
It won't matter how good your physical and financial preparations are if you are cowardly and paralyzed by fear.
The times that are coming are going to test all of our hearts.
Some people are going to make it and some people aren't.
Some people will become so consumed with fear that they will give up completely.
Don't let that happen to you.
Prepare your heart, soul, mind and body right now for what is coming. For those that are cowardly the years ahead will be a total nightmare, but for those that overcome the fear the years ahead have the potential to be a great adventure.

Ranging with Mil Dots (how to)
So there are a couple of reticles that can be used for range finding. I will go over a couple here, because going over each type would take up a whole book in there own. The following is how to use the following reticles to effectively range distance of known and unknown sized targets.
The Mil Dot: Mil Dots were originally used by the Military in order to estimate the range to target. Originally the Marines had a football style mil dot reticle that is no longer being marketed to my knowledge. The Army went with the standard round Mil Dot that you will see if you google Mil Dot and check out pictures. Let take a standard mil dot like the one we just discussed, also shown here when you click on the reticle: http://swfa.com/Schmidt-Bender-3-12x...ope-P1663.aspx (http://swfa.com/Schmidt-Bender-3-12x50-Police-Marksman-II-34mm-Riflescope-P1663.aspx) . The range between the center of one dot to the other is considered 1.0 MIL. The object/trick to using the reticle is to break up the distance between mil dots into tenths. You take a object that is a known size say 36 inches (to make it easy), lets say that 36 inch target takes up 2.5 mils (so it takes up the distance between two complete mil dots and half of the next) in your scope reticle. There is an equation, well actually many equations, but lets say for the purpose of this write up we want to know how many yards away it is. You take 36inches (size of target)x 27.778 (constant) and divide that by the 2.5 Mils (that it takes up in your scope) and you get your range to target in inches which is: 400yards. So here are other formulas to use with the same reticle to get your range in whatever measurement you prefer.
Height of Target (inches) x 27.778 = Distance to Target (yards)
mils
Height of Target (yards) x 1000 = Distance to Target (yards)
mils
Height of Target (inches) x 25.4 = Distance to Target (meters)
mils
Height of Target (meters) x 1000 = Distance to Target (meters)
mils
Height of Target (cm) x 10 = Distance to Target (meters)
mils
MOA reticles: For most of my write ups I use shooter MOA or S-MOA, why, because its easier to wrap your mind around and gets close enough. A true Minute of Angle (MOA) is equal to 1.047"; S-MOA or shooters MOA is 1" at 100yds.
Now that we have established that lets look at MOA reticles like the one in the US Optics scopes known as the MDMOA reticle (http://www.usoptics....ecordID=RET-060 (http://www.usoptics.com/upgradesD.php?recordID=RET-060) ) . Essentially you use it the same way you would with a Mil Dot reticle. Here are the equations for MOA reticles:
Height of Target (inches) x 95.5 = Distance to Target (yards)
moa
Height of Target (inches) x 87.32 = Distance to Target (meters)
moa
Height of Target (meters) x 3437.75 = Distance to Target (meters)
moa
Height of Target (cm) x 34.37 = Distance to Target (meters)
moa
Height of Target (inches) x 100 = Distance to Target (yards)
s- moa
Height of Target (inches) x 91.44 = Distance to Target (meters)
s- moa
Height of Target (meters) x 3600 = Distance to Target (meters)
s- moa
Height of Target (cm) x 36 = Distance to Target (meters)
s-moa
Mostly every range finding reticle on the market today is based off from one or the other basic reticles discussed above. Make sure when you are purchasing scope with crazy reticles in them kind of like this: http://www.horusvisi...om/reticles.php (http://www.horusvision.com/reticles.php) you know how to use it first before dumping money into it. Get the break down so you have an idea how it works ahead of time.
You can practice ranging targets with some of these reticles and how to hit your target with them by just merely going through the training, applying what has been written above and practicing using these basic programs.
http://www.horusvisi...om/reticles.php (http://www.horusvision.com/reticles.php) Go to the bottom of the page and use the demos.
http://www.shooterready.com/ also go to the bottom of the page and use the demos.
Known size: As you can see you need to know the size of your target in order for these to work. But what happens when you don’t know the size of the target you intend on shooting? Is it possible? Yes it is, and this is how.
Unknown size: In order to use these equations we need to know the size of the target. So how do we use these equations when we don’t know the size. It involves some work on the part of the shooter. What I do is take measurements; my data book and or pack always has a small measuring tape that I can take measurements with. This is pretty easy if you are in an urban environment when things such as stop signs, light poles, walls, windows, and many, many more objects are all standard sizes. Looking back in my data book I see the stop signs in my area are 75CM from left to right in the center and 75CM from top to bottom across the center. If my target was stopping at that intersection, and I know the size of the stop sign, then I can get a range and dope my rifle in preparation for that shot. (I would also plot that in my data book while making a range card and field sketch of the area)
But their isn’t anything in the woods of standard size, what do I do then? You have to do your research, get to know how large a posted sign is in your area. Get to know how big the tires are on your buddies 4x4. If you have one particular deer in mind, try and use a standard for large deer in your area and base your measurement off that, get a standard tree size where you think your going to be shooting,
Hope this is useful.
Its all about information sharing and schooling others.

SHTF Planning: 20 Lessons from the Streets of Cairo
From the somewhat guilt filled comforts of Greece, I have been thinking about what I learned from the recent Cairo SHTF experience. I am not putting myself forth as an expert of any sort and, frankly, many or even most items on the list below might be flat out wrong….who the hell knows. We were in Cairo from Jan 25th until late Feb 3rd when the neighborhood gunfire became full-auto and regularly occurring. At that point, we decided that Friday prayers (the next day) might not yield a pleasant experience. We had no way of knowing that we had already seen the worst.
Lesson #1….the best weapon for SHTF is truly whatever F*&$ING firearm you can lay your hands on and it does not matter the slightest bit what it is! I had a borrowed three shot semi-auto Beretta 26″ bbl trap grade shotgun. I LOVED IT. It was my baby and I truly miss it now!. That said, I would have given my left nut for my Yugo underfolder or SGL-21. Frankly, I am now of the opinion that if, in the moment, you are being AT ALL picky about firearms then by definition the shit has NOT truly hit the fan. One guy on our street only had a nice little S&W J-frame .22 and he seemed a lot more relaxed than the guys with baseball bats I can tell you that!
Lesson #2…..Good will with one’s friends and neighbors has the power to greatly enhance or even make unnecessary ABSOLUTELY ANY prep you can make (including having money). Bad will with ones neighbors similarly has the ability to completely nullify any prep (again, including having money). I am and was the lucky beneficiary and supplier of the former. As an example, one night on the street a local young cop who lived in the neighborhood asked me “where did you get that shotgun”. I winked and said, “I found it”. He just smirked and said, “Oh…OK”. End of conversation. That’s what is achieved by six years of being the “Cool American” who takes the time to chat with everyone from street vendors, doormen, and neighborhood kids to villa owners and businessmen.
Lesson #3….Bugging out is really only an option if you are lucky enough to be psychic and see the shit BEFORE it truly hits the fan. The bug out plans you have will almost certainly physically be blocked when SHTF. Good luck getting to Alexandria after SHTF in Tahrir square or to Aswan when the government shuts down the rail network! Frankly, we almost realized we had those options before they were blocked off but by they might have been more dangerous than bugging in with our friends and neighbors and banding together to protect the neighborhood. Further, I did not want to be a “refugee” so bugging in was perfectly fine since we prepped wisely. That said, and in spite of the above, when you see an escape route, RUN (see Lesson #4 and #11)!
Lesson #4….Do NOT be too proud to become a “refugee” if you can manage it comfortably. There is a world of difference between being a penniless “refugee” and taking a “strategic vacation” (new term I just invented!) on a commercial flight with a fat wad of cash (see Lesson #13).
Lesson #5…People are stupid. There MAY (repeat…MAY) still be time to prep the very day and even the second or third day the shit is “kinda” hitting the fan (SKHTF! another new term!). Grocery stores MAY still be open and things MAY be as normal for a short time. Now is the time to stock up on little things you may need more of or on comfort items. I saw this happen in Cairo even the first days of the worst rioting. Stores were open even a couple blocks from Tahrir strangely enough….for a while. Day three of the revolution, when Tahrir looked like a legitimate war-zone, the Souq two blocks from the square was selling us vegetables and canned goods and, amazingly, was not all that busy! We cleaned them out and distributed surplus to those in our building who could not or would not go out (See Lesson #2)
Lesson #6….Murphy’s law applies. Preps will fail or break or prove impractical when you least expect. For example, the sat phone I just replaced worked just fine for all of the last five years. I wanted to upgrade and bought the new model that arrived in Cairo a week before the riots when my wife returned from the US. The brand new com equipment that would have totally bailed us out when the govt cut cell and internet….you guessed it….had a bad battery shipped with it!! Moral of the story: Invest in MULTIPLE redundancies! I am now also buying a handheld HAM system.
Lesson #7….Marry well! Perhaps this should be Lesson #1. My wife was calm and collected for the 10 days we were in Cairo during SHTF. She was organizing things around the house and with neighbors and even making improvised weaponry (clubs) even better with the addition of protruding nails etc. She rocks! She also cooked for the “neighborhood watch” and is now absolutely LOVED by the people around us! She helped with Lesson #2 immensely because NO other wives in the neighborhood were bringing tea and food to the guys on the street.
Lesson #8….You don’t have to “bug out” to MOVE and make things a great deal easier for yourself! Just because the shit is hitting the fan where you are does NOT mean it is hitting the fan even 10 miles away. This is not bugging out…just moving. When we were driving to the airport on day ten or eleven, I was amazed that a short 10 minute drive away there were no tanks or APCs and people were calm. The whole vibe was so different that it kinda made me suspect that something was wrong. SHTF had become “normal” for me to the point that “normal” now looked scary and suspicious. We even passed a wedding that was taking place where everyone looked totally calm. We didn’t realize for 10 days that all we really had to do was find a new apartment or take a nice hotel room 20 miles away from our current location. Lesson learned! Don’t become married to your “role” in SHTF.
Lesson #9…When the players in a conflict become ill-defined, it’s time to step aside. If you know who the bad guys are, you can play this game but when it becomes a war of all against all, it becomes imperative to stay out of the game where EVERYONE loses. The Feb 2 riots that took place the night before we left were a perfect example of this. It was no longer just looters we were worried about, it was EVERYONE. Buildings were being occupied in Tahrir presumably by both sides of the conflict and I didn’t want to wait for this phenomenon to come 5 blocks south to us. If SHTF starts to look too much like civil war, it’s “game over” and time to make a change.
Lesson #10…Stockpiling is 100% rational. Even if you wind up bugging out or SHTF is short enough to not use everything you have stashed, your foresight will help others and will contribute greatly to your ability to adhere to Lesson #2. Just because you are able to bug out does not mean others will have the same luxury and these people WILL need your help.
Lesson #11…People WILL sell you out. Be prepared for it and know that it might come from anywhere….”Friends”, Relatives, or employers. Someone will almost assuredly ditch you or put you in a tight spot while covering their own ass. The toughest part of this lesson is coming to terms with the fact that at some point, it’s totally justifiable and yes even forgivable. Understand that at some point your OWN family will be the priority and that you will be the one who is selling out people you know and likely care for. I know that this is not at all a comfortable thought, but it is realistic.
Lesson #12…Some people will surprise you. People from whom you might expect animosity, will sometimes provide you with the help you need and incur substantial risk or personal cost to do it. Just like you will at some point very likely be embodying Lesson #11, you will (or definitely F($**ING should) be embodying Lesson #12 as well.
Lesson #13….Diverisfy your financial position. Gold will not buy groceries (but see Lesson #14) and cash won’t buy an emergency flight over the internet. Similarly, your big neighborhood Christian grocer will get freaked out over the religious implications of SHTF and close. Guess what, he is the only guy in a 10 mile radius who takes credit cards…so have cash! Further, diversify your currencies in international terms by holding foreign currency for the place you intend to bug out too (and maybe even one or two others since you never know where you might be going). From now on I will hold Egyptian Pounds, Dollars, Euros, and Jordanian Dinar….at a minimum.
Lesson #14…Gold….OWN IT! It may not work with the grocer you barely know as a medium of exchange but it damn sure makes great collateral eg. “OK…you keep this gold sovereign and I will buy it back from you for the 200 Egyptian pounds I owe you as soon as the ATMs start working”. It’s great bribe material too, though I didn’t have to resort to it, when you want to get your beloved dog on a “no-pets” flight.
Lesson #15….Silver….Keep some but only buy it in major quantity with your gold when things have calmed down and you know you wont be bugging out! Silver had taken a good dip about a week before SHTF and I was this close to buying a few kg bars the day or two before the protests started. I didn’t and am VERY glad. Silver is of course bulky and heavy and I would not have needed those extra kgs when we were finally on the move ten or eleven days later. Silver is a great medium of exchange when things have settled down after SHTF but it is not a great prep UNLESS you keep it confined to maybe a single kg of junk silver or small rounds.
Lesson #16….Be flexible and creative. SHTF will be unique to the surroundings and people and cause thus necessitating quick thinking that is outside the box and the formulation of solutions to problems that may work today but not tomorrow. Do NOT become married to a situation, your role in it, or the solution to a problem that may not work for you tomorrow.
Lesson #17….Be intimidating when you think it will work. Develop a war face! Be loud and fearless and look like someone capable of anything…it minimizes negotiation and whining in other parties. Simultaneously, know when to fly under the radar and when to say “Katy bar the door!” The nature of SHTF changes over time and necessitates that YOU change who you are to a very substantial degree.
Lesson #18….Stock your liquor cabinet. Do so partially for barter and good will purposes, but also understand that when a curfew is imposed during SHTF, the impromptu “revolution party” will become common. I was teargassed on day 3 or 4 and scooped up six random study abroad journalism students who were literally trapped by police in my neighborhood. The police had blocked off all entrances and exits so these red-eyed kids could literally not get home. We all went back to my apartment where, over the next 6 hours or so, my wife, these kids, and I did some serious damage to a bottle of red label. On top of that, the realistic reason for stocking up is that after a few days of staying up all night enjoying what SHTF has to offer, you will have trouble sleeping and a wee dram never hurts.
Lesson #19…When SHTF is over, be prepared for a LOT of odd behavior on the part of people you know. There will be lots of unnecessary crap about “who did what” during SHTF and arguments about how we can avoid SHTF in the future or how we can rebuild or “unify” in the wake of SHTF. Everyone will think their ideas are the best and the very real conflict between people you know will push you and those around you back toward a SHTF situation to some degree. The moral of this story is, if you are a foreigner, keep your damned mouth shut. Even if you are a local, the arguments are just not worth it.
Lesson #20…You learned who your friends are during SHTF…now treat them that way! For example, I no longer visit my big neighborhood grocer who closed and locked sh!t up tighter than a drum for the FULL DURATION of SHTF. I do, however, now regularly frequent the tiny-a$$ little grocery store with the mediocre selection around the corner. Why? Because it is owned and operated by a 50 year old guy who was open every single day of SHTF and I saw him regularly at 2:00am guarding the front of his store (and others) armed with nothing more than a hippo-hide whip (sjambok). He was doing this when the very reliable rumor was that looters had stolen police vehicles, uniforms, and guns. I don’t care that this guy doesn’t have the shampoo my wife likes, I am buying my groceries from him!

Those that fail to plan, plan to fail
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. 2061 et seq.), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code, and as Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, it is hereby ordered as follows:
PART I - PURPOSE, POLICY, AND IMPLEMENTATION
Section 101. Purpose. This order delegates authorities and addresses national defense resource policies and programs under the Defense Production Act of 1950, as amended (the "Act").
Sec. 102. Policy. The United States must have an industrial and technological base capable of meeting national defense requirements and capable of contributing to the technological superiority of its national defense equipment in peacetime and in times of national emergency. The domestic industrial and technological base is the foundation for national defense preparedness. The authorities provided in the Act shall be used to strengthen this base and to ensure it is capable of responding to the national defense needs of the United States.
Sec. 103. General Functions. Executive departments and agencies (agencies) responsible for plans and programs relating to national defense (as defined in section 801(j) of this order), or for resources and services needed to support such plans and programs, shall:
(a) identify requirements for the full spectrum of emergencies, including essential military and civilian demand;
(b) assess on an ongoing basis the capability of the domestic industrial and technological base to satisfy requirements in peacetime and times of national emergency, specifically evaluating the availability of the most critical resource and production sources, including subcontractors and suppliers, materials, skilled labor, and professional and technical personnel;
(c) be prepared, in the event of a potential threat to the security of the United States, to take actions necessary to ensure the availability of adequate resources and production capability, including services and critical technology, for national defense requirements;
(d) improve the efficiency and responsiveness of the domestic industrial base to support national defense requirements; and
(e) foster cooperation between the defense and commercial sectors for research and development and for acquisition of materials, services, components, and equipment to enhance industrial base efficiency and responsiveness.
Sec. 104. Implementation. (a) The National Security Council and Homeland Security Council, in conjunction with the National Economic Council, shall serve as the integrated policymaking forum for consideration and formulation of national defense resource preparedness policy and shall make recommendations to the President on the use of authorities under the Act.
(b) The Secretary of Homeland Security shall:
(1) advise the President on issues of national defense resource preparedness and on the use of the authorities and functions delegated by this order;
(2) provide for the central coordination of the plans and programs incident to authorities and functions delegated under this order, and provide guidance to agencies assigned functions under this order, developed in consultation with such agencies; and
(3) report to the President periodically concerning all program activities conducted pursuant to this order.
(c) The Defense Production Act Committee, described in section 701 of this order, shall:
(1) in a manner consistent with section 2(b) of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2062(b), advise the President through the Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor, the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and the Assistant to the President for Economic Policy on the effective use of the authorities under the Act; and
(2) prepare and coordinate an annual report to the Congress pursuant to section 722(d) of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2171(d).
(d) The Secretary of Commerce, in cooperation with the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Homeland Security, and other agencies, shall:
(1) analyze potential effects of national emergencies on actual production capability, taking into account the entire production system, including shortages of resources, and develop recommended preparedness measures to strengthen capabilities for production increases in national emergencies; and
(2) perform industry analyses to assess capabilities of the industrial base to support the national defense, and develop policy recommendations to improve the international competitiveness of specific domestic industries and their abilities to meet national defense program needs.

This Executive Order was posted on the WhiteHouse.gov web site on Friday, March 16, 2012, under the name National Defense Resources Preparedness.
In a nutshell, it’s the blueprint for Peacetime Martial Law and it gives the president the power to take just about anything deemed necessary for “National Defense”, whatever they decide that is.
It’s peacetime, because as the title of the order says, it’s for “Preparedness”. A copy of the entire order follows the end of this story.
Under this order the heads of these cabinet level positions; Agriculture, Energy, Health and Human Services, Transportation, Defense and Commerce can take food, livestock, fertilizer, farm equipment, all forms of energy, water resources, all forms of civil transportation (meaning any vehicles, boats, planes), and any other materials, including construction materials from wherever they are available.
This is probably why the government has been visiting farms with GPS devices, so they know exactly where to go when they turn this one on.
Specifically, the government is allowed to allocate materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate. They decide what necessary or appropriate means.
UPDATE: BIN reader Kent Welton writes:
This allows for the giving away of USA assets and subsidies to private companies: “(b) provide for the modification or expansion of privately owned facilities, including the modification or improvement of production processes, when taking actions under sections 301, 302, or 303 of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2091, 2092, 2093; and (c) sell or otherwise transfer equipment owned by the Federal Government and installed under section 303(e) of the Act, 50 U.S.C. App. 2093(e), to the owners of such plants, factories, or other industrial facilities.”
What happens if the government decides it needs all these things to be prepared, even if there is no war? You likely won’t be able to walk into a store to purchase virtually anything because it will all be requisitioned, “rationed” and controlled by the government.
Construction materials, food like meat, butter and sugar, anything imported, parts, tires and fuel for vehicles, clothing, etc. will likely become unobtainable, or at least very scarce.
How many things are even made here in the USA any more?
A bit of history… During WWII, price stabilization didn’t begin until May of 1942, which froze prices on nearly all every day goods and rationing started in 1943.
Why would the government want to control everything before a war?
Here’s what some gas ration cards looked like during WWII. Will there be rationing under this kind of system? What better way to control the movement and actions of the populace…
WWII era gas ration cards via Old Chester PA. You couldn’t go on vacation without a “vacation pass”.
Under this new Executive Order, cabinet heads are authorized to loan money, offer loan guarantees and even subsidize payments at above market rates (no bid contracts?) for whatever they need.
This could make Solyndra or Halliburton look like Junior Achievement.
Nothing like a war will generate these kinds of huge profits for the corporate “partners” and you can bet the bankers and contractors are already lining up for this one — because under this order no war is even required!
In a crisis situation, the government will be able to take whatever they need, print money to get whatever they want and distribute it as they see fit….for the benefit of a “war effort” or the politically connected corporations and individuals.
All other contracts except those for employment are superseded by this executive order, it’s all here in black and white.
Specifically, it orders:
“to require acceptance and priority performance of contracts or orders (other than contracts of employment) to promote the national defense over performance of any other contracts or orders, and to allocate materials, services, and facilities as deemed necessary or appropriate to promote the national defense, is delegated to the following agency heads:
(1) the Secretary of Agriculture with respect to food resources, food resource facilities, livestock resources, veterinary resources, plant health resources, and the domestic distribution of farm equipment and commercial fertilizer;
(2) the Secretary of Energy with respect to all forms of energy;
(3) the Secretary of Health and Human Services with respect to health resources;
(4) the Secretary of Transportation with respect to all forms of civil transportation;
(5) the Secretary of Defense with respect to water resources; and
(6) the Secretary of Commerce with respect to all other materials, services, and facilities, including construction materials.
About all I can say is “Have a nice day!”

16 SHTF Barter Items to Stockpile
The following article has been generously contributed by Tyler of Debt Reckoning (http://debtreckoning.com/) – Get out of debt, build wealth, and get on with life.
Every good survivalist has a stockpile of things he or she recognizes their family may need to survive a natural or man-made disaster. However, many people forget the value of maintaining a barter store as well.
If things hit the fan, particularly in an economic collapse where the dollar is nearly worthless, a number of non-monetary goods will be more valuable than a fistful of dollar bills.
It’s also important to recognize that we can’t possibly store enough of every item to account for every scenario for an indefinite period of time. However, what we can do is have some items on hand to barter with neighbors to plug gaps in our preparations.
Imagine a neighbor with a large garden and some chickens trading a half dozen eggs and some squash for a box of ammo, or a small bottle of Vodka.
Consider stocking up on the following items, even if you have no plans to use them yourself, for their potential barter value.
16 Things to Stockpile with High Barter Value
Cigarettes. I hate smoking, and can’t stand being around anyone that smokes. Having said that, I recognize that in a SHTF situation many others will be cut off from their access to cigarettes, so there is plenty of barter potential.
Soap. Bars of soap, and even those little cleaning napkins/wipes that you get at the BBQ restaurants could be very valuable in a SHTF scenario. Ever see “The Book of Eli?”
Bullets. Obviously, it’s a good idea to have a decent store of ammo representing all calibers of the weapons you own. However, it is also a good idea to store extra ammo in common calibers (9mm, .22, .38, 12-guage shells, etc.) as a potential barter. After all, a gun without ammo is just an inacurate throwing object.
Alcohol. Alcohol could serve a variety of purposes in a SHTF situation. It is valuable as a potential bartering commodity, and it also has medicinal uses. Did you know Vodka is a great home remedy to counteract the reaction to poison ivy?
MREs. More portable and easier to barter than larger 5-gallon buckets, or even #10 cans of dried foods, MREs are great to have on hand for bartering. Keep a variety of flavors and different kinds of foods because you could be holding something that could complete a meal for a hungry person.
Silver Coins. Keep in mind this doesn’t necessarily mean only silver dollars with a full ounce of silver, but even older, less expensive coins with a high silver component (the 1964 Kennedy half-dollar, for example).
Detergent. Don’t think people are interested in bartering detergent? Check out the story about the recent rash of detergent thefts across the country. Apparently, Tide detergent on the black market is now referred to as “liquid gold.” Interesting.
Water bottles. To someone in bad need of water, a water bottle could be worth its weight in gold. Remember the rule of threes: you can live three minutes without air, three days without water, and three weeks without food. Store accordingly.
Matches and lighters. A box of matches is relatively inexpensive, but for someone needing to build a fire a pack of matches or a lighter could be very valuable. Be sure these are stored safely, and if they are not waterproof make them so by storing in a watertight container.
Sugar. My grandfather used to tell stories of things that were in limited supply in the Great Depression. Sugar was something he often mentioned. Imagine how easily you could win over a sweet-tooth with the promise of a bag of sugar in exchange for something you are short on.
Toilet paper. This one is rather self-explanatory, isn’t it? Sure, there are substitutes for Charmin, but who wants to keep using leaves when paper feels so much better.
Water Filters/Purifiers. Water purification drops and filters could mean the difference in offering family members treated water or potentially harmful, bacteria-infested water. Who’d be willing to trade for that?
Bleach. May be used to disinfect water, or keep living quarters and soiled clothing sanitized.
Batteries. Can be used to power up flashlights, radios, and other electronic devices.
Candles. Emergency candles would be a great barter item for those in need of providing some light to their living quarters without electricity.
What other items would you add to your barter store?

Do not re-post this on the main forum, fuck those trolls.
CFTC Pulls Public Comments from JP Morgan Whistle-blower: “We Are Fearful of a Cascading Credit Event; Wide-Scale Market Collapse”
One argument you’ll hear from the majority of Americans who refuse to wake up to the madness around them is that if there truly was an economic and financial cabal in cahoots with the government we would have heard about it. If this was actually happening, wouldn’t there be insiders from the private and public sectors that would have alerted us to the conspiracies? And wouldn’t the mainstream media report on it? And wouldn’t the Justice Department vigorously pursue and prosecute those responsible for the fraud, theft and manipulation?
It turns out that there are whistle-blowers – hundreds of them. But any attack on the establishment is met with either a full-on counter-attack that targets the credibility of the individual bringing forth the information and marginalizes the content of the message by dismissing it as the ravings of a lunatic or disgruntled employee, or, it’s simply erased from public view by the very institutions tasked with investigating such activity.
Yesterday, an open letter posted in the public comments section (http://comments.cftc.gov/PublicComments/ViewComment.aspx?id=57019&SearchText) at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) by a self described JP Morgan insider and whistle-blower was removed in short order (no cache of the page exists, but it was briefly indexed by search engines (http://www.shtfplan.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/jpminsider-screenshot.gif)). It was dead on arrival. A direct link to the letter now leads to an empty page in the hopes that it will never be seen by the 99% of Americans who tune in only to mainstream news sources for their daily dose of truth. Don’t worry, though, because if there’s one thing alternative news media learned from Orwell’s 1984 and real world experience, it’s that we should always expect the powers that be will attempt to rewrite history. As such, the full content of the post has been copied and archived for posterity’s sake by alternative media (and reprinted below).
In the letter, the JP Morgan insider reveals that high level executives and traders at the bank are putting the investments and savings of thousands, if not millions, of hard working Americans at risk of complete, wide-scale market collapse through their machinations and fraudulent practices. Moreover, he suggests that executives at his bank are fully aware of commodity manipulations in which the bank engages, as well as the risks posed by a European collapse, an event that, according to the whistle-blower, will lead to annihilation of investments within a matter of days.
Here is the full open letter (now removed from CFTC’s public comments), made available via Market Ticker (http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=203423) and Modern Survival Blog (http://modernsurvivalblog.com/):

Dear CFTC Staff,
Hello, I am a current JPMorgan Chase employee. This is an open letter to all commissioners and regulators. I am emailing you today b/c I know of insider information that will be damning at best for JPMorgan Chase. I have decided to play the role of whistleblower b/c I no longer have faith and belief that what we are doing for society is bringing value to people. I am now under the opinion that we are actually putting hard working Americans unaware of what lays ahead at extreme market risk. This risk is unnecessary and will lead to wide-scale market collapse if not handled properly. With the release of Mr. Smith’s open letter to Goldman, I too would like to set the record straight for JPM as well. I have seen the disruptive behavior of superiors and no longer can say that I look up to employees at the ED/MD level here at JPM. Their smug exuberance and arrogance permeates the air just as pungently as rotting vegetables. They all know too well of the backdoor crony connections they share intimately with elected officials and with other institutions. It is apparent in everything they do, from the meager attempts to manipulate LIBOR, therefore controlling how almost all derivatives are priced to the inherit and fraudulent commodities manipulation. They too may have one day stood for something in the past in the client-employee relationship. Does anyone in today’s market really care about the protection of their client? From the ruthless and scandalous treatment of MF Global client asset funds to the excessive bonuses paid by companies with burgeoning liabilities. Yes, we at JPMorgan that are in the know are fearful of a cascading credit event being triggered in Greece as they have hidden derivatives in excess of $1 Trillion USD. We at JPMorgan own enough of these through counterparty risk and outright prop trading that our entire IB EDG space could be annihilated within a few short days. The last ten years has been market by inflexion point after inflexion point with the most notable coming in 2008 after the acquisition of Bear.
I wish to remain anonymous as of now as fear of termination mounts from what I am about to reveal. Robert Gottlieb is not my real name; however he is a trader that is involved in a lawsuit for manipulative trading while working with JPMorgan Chase. He was acquired during our Bear Stearns acquisition and is known to be the notorious person shorting in the silver future market from his trading space, along with Blythe Masters, his IB Global boss. However, with that said, we are manipulating the silver futures market and playing a smaller (but still massively manipulative) role in manipulating the gold futures market. We have a little over a 25% (give or take a percentage) position in the short market for silver futures and by your definition this denotes a larger position than for speculative purposes or for hedging and is beyond the line of manipulation.
On a side note, I do not work directly with accounts that would have been directly impacted by the MF Global fiasco but I have heard through other colleagues that we have involvement in the hiding of client assets from MF Global. This is another fraudulent effort on our part and constitutes theft. I urge you to forward that part of the investigation on to the respective authorities.
There is something else that you may find strange. During month-end December, we were all told by our managers that this was going to be a dismal year in terms of earnings and that we should not expect any bonuses or pay raises. Then come mid-late January it is made known that everyone received a pay raise and/or bonus, which is interesting b/c just a few weeks ago we were told that this was not likely and expected to be paid nothing in addition to base salary. January is right around the time we started increasing our short positions quite significantly again and this most recent crash in gold and silver during Bernanke’s speech on February 29th is of notable importance, as we along with 4 other major institutions, orchestrated the violent $100 drop in Gold and subsequent drops in silver.
As regulators of the free people of this country, I ask you to uphold the most important job in the world right now. That job is judge and overseer of all that is justice in the most sensitive of commodity markets. There are many middle-income people that invest in the physical assets of silver, gold, as well as mining stocks that are being financially impacted in a negative way b/c of our unscrupulous shorts in the precious metals commodity sector. If you read the COT with intent you will find that commercials (even though we have no business being in the commercial sector, which should be reserved for companies that truly produce the metal) are net short by a long shot in not only silver, but gold.
It is rather surprising that what should be well known liabilities on our balance sheet have not erupted into wider scale scrutinization. I call all honest and courageous JPMorgan employees to step up and fight the cronyism and wide-scale manipulation by reporting the truth. We are only helping reality come to light therefore allowing a real valuation of our banking industry which will give investors a chance to properly adjust without being totally wiped out. I will be contacting a lawyer shortly about this matter, as I believe no other whistleblower at JPMorgan has come forward yet. Our deepest secrets lie within the hands of honest employees and can be revealed through honest regulators that are willing to take a look inside one of America’s best kept secrets. Please do not allow this to turn into another Enron.
Kind Regards,
-The 1st Whistleblower of Many
We wouldn’t bet on any of this actually being investigated by regulatory agencies, because according to President Obama and other politicians, nobody has committed any crimes. (http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=202150)
What we would bet on is that this anonymous whistle blower isn’t just blowing smoke. Given the recent revelations of other insiders like Greg Smith (http://www.thedailycrux.com/content/10126/Goldman_Sachs), a former Goldman Sachs executive director of their equities derivatives business, who warned this week of a toxic and destructive environment at the government’s leading bailout darling, we’re of the belief that JP Morgan is no different.
The entire system is rigged, and they have most certainly done a great job of keeping it afloat and maintaining the illusion of stability in the eyes of the masses. One day, perhaps soon, the people will lose confidence in these firms and the government institutions that are complicit in their manipulations. When that happens, look out, because we’ve got decades of paper receipts and derivatives valued in the tens of trillions of dollars that will be shown to be worth absolutely nothing.
When this ponzi scheme finally comes down it will be unlike anything we’ve ever seen in terms of economic collapse and financial asset annihilation.

The ultimate deception
http://thewatchers.adorraeli.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Deception-620x250.jpg
Are you worried about change of police state to military state, new internet laws that are being posed on us and all the conspiracy crap that different news sources report daily? Do you not see it as false flag? A deliberate misdirection of our collective focus? Or a battle long-lost?
I’m not saying you should not be aware of such stories but would like to remind you that all that “wrong” things are in effect for years now, decades and centuries. As for the lies and deliberate misdirection of our focus as a human species – to say that it’s been going on for aeons now is probably much better. (Although the term aeon may be used in reference to a period of a billion years, its more common usage is for any long, indefinite, period of time.)
http://thewatchers.adorraeli.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/handinflow-150x150.jpg
As the infamous year 2012 is almost upon us I’m sure this is just a prelude of things to come and definitely we will see more of the wrong things in the near future. Yet, the people are awake now, our collective consciousness is growing to new heights day by day and really there is no way to stop it. There is much work to be done more but the bird is already out. There is really no need for extensive stress. Rejoice, ascend to another level and do some community service today.
There is a great author whose articles I like to read and in the light of previous things mentioned would like to bring your focus to one for just a few minutes.
This is an excerpt from an article entitled The Ultimate Deception, written by Noel Huntley, Ph.D.:
Another very efficient deception which is used when their cover (for example, ETs, Illuminati, Secret Government) has been threatened, such as conspiracies being exposed, or secret documents published, and people are believing this information, is to make known similar secrets which are in fact a complete fabrication, but intended to be found out. This is very common on the Internet. If Secret Government documents are exposed, all they have to do is pose as a source, incriminating themselves but to make sure it is then proved false, which it is. The public, already programmed with a psychology which causes them to generalise from the specific, and possessing fear of gullibility, readily now believe that all such information must be false. Thus minds have been manipulated and secrecy has been preserved.
The full article follows, peace to all of you.
THE ULTIMATE DECEPTION
(June, 2003)
by Noel Huntley, Ph.D.
If anyone takes a really good look at our world today they surely can hardly deny that there is something wrong with this picture. How many people question our state of evolution and its professed history? Unfortunately we can be programmed to view a negative existence as normal or natural. If we can observe these undesirable elements and recognise them as not part of a properly evolving world, then we can be sure the more realistic situation is one which is much worse. That is, the discrepancies are much greater. Programming can not only successfully brainwash anyone to think this way but can also underlie the most fundamental level of existence itself.
If all humans were born with one leg, this would appear normal—nothing strange about it. Nevertheless the inevitable mavericks, or individuals who manage to gain temporary freedom from the programming, would point out that two legs would be much better than one; or even bolder, that we had two legs at one time. Amazingly we would still find significant opposition and ridicule, for instance, that one leg would get in the way of the other.
Thus with this theme in mind, education, upbringing, the media, science of evolution, history, etc. have programmed society with the fundamental reference or context of the natural occurrence of a one-legged species. All the limitations arising from having one leg are perfectly normal. This is the important point, “All the limitations . . . are perfectly normal.”
If we imagine now we have an instrument and we are making measurements, the first step is to check the zero point. Is the pointer on zero? This zero is the reference, or context for all measurements. All activities of this one-legged human are accepted relative to their own context, which we picture as the zero point from which all reads are referenced. All those countless ‘reads’ form an established structure of existence. But then someone comes along and shows that all along, since the beginning of the one-legged species, the zero point on the instrument has been tampered with. It was altered without anyone knowing—strictly, without anyone remembering.
If someone had previously changed the scale so that the zero was moved up 2 units with corresponding disguised changes in the whole scale, then clearly the final reading will be in error by 2 units. If, say, the reading was 5 after the alteration, then the correct value should be 7, since the zero is now 2 units but hidden. All readings are ‘wrong’—but correct relative to their ‘believed’ reference. Thus someone eventually identifies the true reference for this species—when the correct zero is set the species begins to realise it should have had two legs.
The more one studies the nature of this planet, and the activities and evolution of the many species on it, the more one will realise that it has had its ‘zero point’ changed (mutated, distorted).
Geneticists are amazed that they are completing their work on the human genome ahead of time; that the work in identifying and understanding the DNA is nearly complete. Unfortunately this is not the case. In fact an understanding of the DNA is only just beginning. Those so-called ‘junk’ or blank regions of the non-coding interons in the DNA are in fact regions of high potential information that relate to more evolved states. However, it doesn’t mean as a human species we haven’t yet attained these developments in the DNA. On the contrary, it means these junk regions are heavily mutated and that we have in the distant past functioned with a much more advanced DNA. As we evolve out of this distorted condition—faulty zero—geneticists will find that molecules begin to appear in these junk areas adding new base pairs and increasing the basic coding from 4 gradually to 12. The number twelve is intrinsic to the basic geometry of this universal system, which operates on geometric intelligence.
Now, fundamental to all creation are blueprints—we can consider the blueprint as basic to even the DNA; that is, the DNA is the blueprint for what we define as life, but blueprints are basic to all creation. If there were misalignments in the basic blueprint to all creation in our planetary system, everything would develop on a false ‘read’.
Now think for a moment about our so-called natural world. Virtually all life forms are in competition. Survival is essentially achieved by killing life and eating dead bodies, accompanied usually by horrendous violence. There is emphasis on survival of the fittest, natural selection and, in particular, on self. There is winning at the expense or loss of others. Fear is a principal emotion. Even when each of us steps out of our homes any time, the first perception we usually have is of birds—even over considerable distance in most cases—flying away, or small creatures scurrying for safety. Something which is totally taken for granted.
Suppose that the more normal condition is for evolution to produce a symbiotic relation between all life forms. What little symbiosis exists today is either for aiding predatory activity or defense from predation. But let us give further ‘shocking’ examples of negative alterations in our evolution. The Guardian Alliance material brought in by Ashayana Deane shows detailed technical diagrams of how the complex time cycles of our cosmic matrix function, merkabas within merkabas (double helix spirals) and cycles within cycles, like a beautiful complex clockwork mechanism. It also shows clearly how the ‘Beast’ technology (see Cosmic Map article) distortions have caused the tilt of the Earth, 23.5 degrees, which in fact gives rise to our seasons (not considered unfavourable by many), but more dramatically the subtle and slow Earth wobble is also a product of these misalignments/mutations. This wobble causes a resultant Earth cycle of 25,924 years called in astrology the Precession of the Equinoxes and giving rise to the Zodiac signs. Now we can begin to understand the phrase ‘to be controlled by the stars’. Not meaning this is not true but that it has a nefarious origin and purpose. Furthermore, the Earth apparently orbits the Sun 360 times per year. That is, a multiple of 12, the basic number for this time matrix. Also that there were once 12 planets in the solar system. Thus we see that even our star system is ‘mutated’ and therefore out of alignment, preventing a proper evolution of living species and the planets.
Whether one can believe it or not our conclusion is obvious: that all creation on this planet, life, existence, consciousness, is based on distortions in blueprints and extreme mutations in DNAs. One might ask why isn’t there more evidence of how this perpetration was accomplished? Surely history would have more clues. Yes, it would except that there are methods of deception which have been highly successful in manipulating the human race’s awareness of the evidence.
How does one erase evidence or conceal information from a civilisation to rewrite its history? The first and obvious way is to remove truths from appropriate sources, scriptures and the Bible, and archives in general. There is considerable evidence for the destruction of information in our history.
There are also more cunning procedures. A really effective one is through mythology, or any dubious stories of religious or mystical significance, which have been made familiar to all. In effect, stories which some people believe and some don’t. This is one of the most successful means of rendering vital truths permanently hidden; to alter the truth and adjust its intellectual or scientific context, and to give it naivete, ambiguity or improbability.
One might even wonder why mythology is given such attention in education. This method of concealment involves informing everyone of the misinformation; thus if one uncovers any real truths they will be ridiculed and the discoveries relegated to their corresponding mythological format. We are particularly referring to historical accounts of so-called gods as a cover for extraterrestrial visitations. Though we shall discover many historical events and features of our past that come into this category, notably such ‘myths’ as: Noah’s Ark, King Arthur and the Round Tables, the original sin, the Beast, the 666 sign, the crucifixion, etc. Our history has been brilliantly rewritten.
A further deception is to trick the mind into thinking it has complete information on a subject and thus does not question what is missing. For example, if someone described the interior of a room to us giving details about the wall paper, carpets and many items in the room, including maybe a chair, and this was repeated many times, adding more, but there was never any reference to the table, bed and wardrobe or whatever, one would build up a mental image picture—a programmed context—never suspecting or imagining these latter items to be present. Channelling from unenlightened ETs with intent to deceive do this. They may give us a great deal of valid information but blatantly omit vital knowledge—which of course relates to their sinister agenda.
Another more natural factor is of a paraphysics nature which leads to previously undiscovered remains—not readily accepted in our 3D science. Some past civilisations on this planet would have been operating in a higher-frequency spectrum. Difficult though this is to imagine with our materialistic and linear programming, it means evidence of these civilisations is simply not material or available to physical perceptions at this time.
In general, the deception process is of course highly augmented by continuous mind manipulations, including subliminal programming throughout our history. However, the indications are that the final conflict is due, which will determine the distribution of ‘territories’ within the realms of both the spiritual and the material, and how every individual stands in relation to his or her spiritual status and heritage.

U.S. Army Domestic Quick Reaction Force Riot Control Training Photos
The following photos are from March and February of this year and were taken at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. The first four photos from March depict riot control training for a “domestic quick reaction force” that would aid in civil disturbances. The second set of photos from February depict the 67th Military Police Company that typically mans the area’s Regional Correctional Facility attempting to quell riots among “restless prison inmates” that have created a disturbance. The photos are similar to a collection from May 2010 that depict several National Guard units from different parts of the U.S. quelling protesters in mock communities holding signs that say “Food Now”. A description of one of the events was posted to Facebook by the U.S. Army’s 5th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment:
The Soldiers in a closed formation bang their batons in cadence against their shields as an angry mob approaches.
“When I initially picked up my shield, the thought of the movie 300 was the first thing that came to mind,” said Spc. Kyle Wilhelmi.
Teams of Soldiers assigned to 3rd Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment, 201st Battlefield Surveillance Brigade conducted civil disturbance training here March 13. The Soldiers, though not quite Spartans, are effectively training to hold their line and successfully control crowds if called upon for a civil disturbance.
Soldiers with shields, batons and rifles pushed through and maintained a dominant stance against a mob of about 40 civilians. The riot escalated as the crowd began throwing snowballs, slurred profanity and made offensive gestures at the Soldiers. The more forceful members of the mob charged the Soldiers but were easily pushed back, as many often fell to the icy surface.
The overall goal of riot control group (RCG) is to control the crowd using less than lethal force.

Charlie McGrath of Wide Awake News offers an insightful and succint breakdown of what’s really going on behind the scenes of government and finance, and says that the people have had enough. The push-back has been growing for quite some time, starting first with Tea Party protests in 2009 and then with widespread Occupy protests in 2011.
With the system already in the midst of collapse and slowly destabilizing, many have not yet realized what’s happening.
Excerpted from Charlie McGrath (video follows excerpt):
You’re going to see what’s happening in the rest of the world come to this country. It Is Inevitable. It Is Going To Happen.
Do you think for one second Department of Homeland Security is ordering 450 [million] man shredder rounds so that they can sit back and plink at gofers on the weekend? Absolutely not.
Do you think this one internet bill after another, this trying to clamp down on the sharing and free ideas on the internet because it’s not good for people? No. The control grid is being put into place to handle what they know is coming. They already know this is coming. A kinder gentler government is on its way out the door. Par tyranny is what’s on the menu.
…
Two days ago we have an elderly pharmacist go before parliament [in Greece], put a gun to his head, and blow his head off. In his suicide note he writes “I would rather die than rummage through the garbage. This is sparking a new onslaught of riots inside of Greece.
But it’s not going to stop with Greece. Just like the Greek debt deal did not fix the problem.
The problem is people are being abused and thrown away like trash; they’re being treated like serfs. At some point they’re going to push back.
So, isn’t it fortunate that we have all these pieces of legislation waiting in the wings? Isn’t it fortunate for the government that we have the security industrial complex squarely aiming 450 million forty caliber human shredder rounds at the people that might want to push back.
bVgBCzCMuBI
An unbiased look at the evidence suggests that the financial, economic and political systems of the world are in the process of destabilizing, and the only thing world leaders have been able to do is extend the deadline for the inevitable breaking point.
Despite throwing trillions of dollars and tens of thousands of pages of government regulations at the problem, nothing has been resolved.
In fact, the American economy, our quality of life, our government’s respect for the rule of law, and our liberty as outlined by our founding documents are worse off today than at any time in our nation’s history. We are, by all accounts, in the midst of a massive paradigm shift that promises to fundamentally alter the American way of life – and not for the better.
While the majority of Americans are oblivious to the warning signs around them, recent actions taken by our government and the governments of other industrialized nations suggest The Powers That Be know very well where we’re head. They are and have been taking steps for quite some time to prepare for what is coming next.
What is the purpose of the National Defense Authorization act unless they plan on indefinitely detaining American citizens without charge or trial?
Why does the President of the United States (and his proxies) have the ability order the assassination or execution of an American citizen, again without trial, charge or reason?
For what reason does President Obama’s ‘Doomsday’ executive order (National Defense Resources Preparedness) allow the seizure of food, land, energy resources and skilled laborers?
Why is the Pentagon actively war-gaming economic collapse scenarios and the civil unrest that would follow such an event?
With roughly 1 million active law enforcement officers in the United States, why is the US military training tens of thousands of personnel for domestic urban response, riot control and mass detentions?
For what purpose do we require some 30,000 armed surveillance drones over American cities?
Why has the Department of Homeland Security acquired in excess of 140 million emergency rations, over 450 million rounds of ammunition, bullet resistant checkpoint booths, and expedited the regionalization of supplies.
When it hits the fan, and things go critical, the recent actions of our government demonstrate that it is only capable of responding in one way – through brute force and tyranny.
Everything they have done in recent years with respect to liberty-restricting legislation, the militarization of our police forces and the expansion of the security industrial complex has been to prepare for the inevitable.
They already know it’s coming. They’re getting ready for it. You might want to consider doing the same.

Peak Civilization: MIT Research Team Predicts Global Economic Collapse and Precipitous Population Decline
Researchers at one of the world’s leading think tanks have developed a computing model that predicts serious implications for our way of life as a result of our incessant need to consume resources like oil, food, and fresh water. According to a team of scientists at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the breaking point will come no later than 2030, and when it does, we can expect a paradigm shift unlike any we have seen before in human history – one that will not only collapse the economies of the world, but will cause food and energy production to decrease so significantly that it will lead to the deaths of hundreds of millions of people in the process.
http://www.shtfplan.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/limitsofgrowth.jpg
The recent study, completed on behalf of The Club of Rome, an organization which issued it’s own findings on ‘peak everything’ back in the 1970′s in a controversial environmental report dubbed The Limits to Growth (video), takes into account the relations between various global developments and produces computer simulations for alternative scenarios.
Via Smithsonian Magazine (http://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/Looking-Back-on-the-Limits-of-Growth.html):
Recent research supports the conclusions of a controversial environmental study released 40 years ago: The world is on track for disaster. So says Australian physicist Graham Turner, who revisited perhaps the most groundbreaking academic work of the 1970s, The Limits to Growth.
Written by MIT researchers for an international think tank, the Club of Rome, the study used computers to model several possible future scenarios. The business-as-usual scenario estimated that if human beings continued to consume more than nature was capable of providing, global economic collapse and precipitous population decline could occur by 2030.
…
Turner compared real-world data from 1970 to 2000 with the business-as-usual scenario. He found the predictions nearly matched the facts. “There is a very clear warning bell being rung here,” he says. “We are not on a sustainable trajectory.”
There is no doubt that the study carries with it its own agenda, as the Club of Rome includes members of the upper echelons of government and business from around the world. Many have suspected that the organization exists as a mechanism to move forward with environmental, and thus social, governance of the world’s resources and population through U.N. initiatives like Agenda 21 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzEEgtOFFlM) and the carbon credit system of taxation, both of which do nothing but shift the wealth of the world into the hands of the elite few at the top of the literal food chain.
But, despite the ulterior motives of those involved in The Club of Rome, they’re not the only ones who have warned of catastrophe stemming from high population levels and unsustainable consumption. In the History Channel’s Prophets Of Doom, Collapsenet’s Michael Ruppert warned of a similar scenario and one which suggests that, while oil may still be available in the future, the costs will be so prohibitive that it will be impossible for human civilization to maintain its current levels of consumption. According to Ruppert, the last great bubble to pop will be the human population bubble.
Other resource issues that have come to light in recent years include the availability of fresh water, as well as the productive capacity of our current agricultural system. Since all of our natural resources are interdependent, a break down in one, like for example the globe’s oil production system, would make it impossible for farmers to grow food, or for trucks to transport it. The same holds true for fresh water, which is essential not only to human life, but for oil exploration, refining operations, food production and a host of other industries essential to human civilization.
By all accounts, we have developed a system of consumption that truly is unsustainable in the long-term. While the Club of Rome and similar organizations purport to act in the best interests of humanity, nearly fifty years of solutions have yielded nothing but more problems and have brought us ever closer to the ultimate breaking point, one which promises to wipe out potentially billions of people in its wake.
An additional consideration which the MIT research study may have touched on but does not look to as a direct potential cause for global calamity is the breakdown of society as a result of unsustainable political, financial, and monetary machinations – something which benevolent members of organizations like The Club of Rome may have been complicit in creating.
There is a strong case to be made that the issuance of trillions of dollars in debt over the course of the last several decades, much like oil, will become impossible to sustain. Since the entire system of consumption is essentially based on this debt, if confidence in this system is lost, it may very well have the same initial effect as a peak oil breaking point. Debt, even when fabricated out of thin air, is essentially a promise tied to some sort of resource. It is based on the idea that something will eventually be created by someone in order to make good on the debt. By all accounts, we the people are the collateral for all of this debt floating our in the system. But, it has gotten to the point that the debt – somewhere in the range of $200 trillion in the United States alone – far outweighs our ability to harness enough time and energy to repay the principal with interest.
Thus, this ‘peak debt’ created to save us from the unsustainable resource practices we face should be just as big of a concern as peak oil or water. Because when we finally reach the limit of our debt, and it becomes clear that the collateral backing that debt is unable to produce enough yield to pay it back, we’ll have a whole new meaning for the term ‘collateral damage.’
With seven billion people on the planet, the system as it is currently managed can’t possibility continue to support the daily needs of the world’s population indefinitely. The solutions that have been presented over the course of the last half century fall far short of providing any meaningful results, despite the treasure spent and liberty stripped.
Slowly but surely we are approaching Peak Civilization, and when that bubble pops we’ll see the ‘crash’ manifest in the form of famine, disease and global conflict.

What is The Zeitgeist Movement? (http://www.thezeitgeistmovement.com/faq#faq1)
The Zeitgeist Movement is an explicitly non-violent, global sustainability advocacy group currently working in over 1000 Regional Chapters across 70 countries. The basic structure of The Movement consists of Chapters, Teams, Projects & Events. Overall, the Chapters are essentially what define the Movement and each Chapter works to not only spread awareness about the roots of our social problems today but also to express the logical, scientific solutions and methods we have at our disposal to update and correct the current social system and create a truly responsible, sustainable, peaceful, global society. Working through global and regional educational projects and community programs, the intermediate goal is to obtain a worldwide movement, essentially unifying the people, regardless of country, religion or political party, with a common value identification that we all invariably share, pertaining to our survival and sustainability.
It is the assumption of The Movement that the educational/activist pressure generated, coupled with what is currently a failing social system, will inhibit and override the established political, commercial and nationalist institutions outright, exposing and resolving the flaws inherent. It is our view that the traditional mediums of politics and commerce as forces for change will not obtain the goals needed to make our social system sustainable and humane for they appear to be born out of the same traditionalized flawed logic that has created the problems as they stand.
The transitional goal, once such a global presence and pressure is obtained, is to implement an economic model that follows a truly scientific train of thought with respect to the technical factors that allow for human propensity, public health and environment responsibility over generational time. This new model, since it is based upon Resource Management and Natural Law (Science) as the logical starting point for all decisions and processes, is often referred to as a "Resource-Based Economic Model". However, the realization of this direction is not that of an institution but of a train of thought - the train of thought of objectively applying The Scientific Method for Social Concern and allowing its natural emergence to flourish without limitation as new efficiencies present themselves.

FEMA National Level Exercise 2012 Private Sector Participant Guide
http://publicintelligence.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/FEMA-NLE2012-PrivateSectorGuide.png
This document is intended to provide private sector stakeholders with an overview of NLE 2012, to include a discussion of the exercise timeline, a snapshot of the exercise scenario, and a review of the various potential exercise participation opportunities.
…
1.1 NLE 2012 Scope
National Level Exercises and the predecessor Top Official exercises continue to involve broad participation based on exercise objectives, scenario implications, and other considerations. This year is no different. NLE 2012 participants include various states within Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Regions I, II, III, and V. The primary subject area and specific audiences for this scenario include Information Technology, Communications, Water, and Mass Transit/Rail. With limited exception, these are the main focus of the Players and Simulation Cell subject matter experts. Interested parties outside of that scope will still find value in the Virtual Participation and Downloadable tabletop.
2.0 Private Sector Participation Value Proposition
Participation in NLE 2012 will provide private sector organizations a variety of benefits, ultimately contributing to an enhanced understanding of information sharing, response, and incident management activities related to a national cyber event. More specifically, it is anticipated that through participation in NLE 2012, private sector organizations, in collaboration with Federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial government partners as well as other exercise stakeholders, will:
Achieve a better collective understanding of the cyber challenges within and across sectors.
Examine and better understand cyber threat alert, warning, and information sharing across sectors and between government and the private sector
Contribute to defining government and private sector roles and responsibilities in cyber incident response and recovery under the National Cyber Incident Response Plan (NCIRP).
Test and examine government-private sector coordinating structures, processes, and capabilities regarding cyber incident response and recovery.
3.0 NLE 2012 Overview
NLE 2012 is sponsored by the FEMA’s National Exercise Division (NED) and includes participation of all levels of government; appropriate Federal department and agency senior officials, their deputies, and staff; and key operational elements. NLE 2012 will examine the Nation’s ability to coordinate and implement prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery plans and capabilities pertaining to a significant cyber event or a series of related cyber events. Unique to NLE 2012 will be an emphasis on the shared responsibility among the Federal Government; state, local, tribal nations, and territories; the private sector; and international partners to manage risk in cyberspace and respond together to a cyber event with national consequences.

A New Microchip Knows Just Where You Are, Indoors and Out
Broadcom has just rolled out a chip for smart phones that promises to indicate location ultra-precisely, possibly within a few centimeters, vertically and horizontally, indoors and out.
The unprecedented accuracy of the Broadcom 4752 chip results from the sheer breadth of sensors from which it can process information. It can receive signals from global navigation satellites, cell-phone towers, and Wi-Fi hot spots, and also input from gyroscopes, accelerometers, step counters, and altimeters.
The variety of location data available to mobile-device makers means that in our increasingly radio-frequency-dense world, location services will continue to become more refined.
In theory, the new chip can even determine what floor of a building you're on, thanks to its ability to integrate information from the atmospheric pressure sensor on many models of Android phones. The company calls abilities like this "ubiquitous navigation," and the idea is that it will enable a new kind of e-commerce predicated on the fact that shopkeepers will know the moment you walk by their front door, or when you are looking at a particular product, and can offer you coupons at that instant.
The integration of new kinds of location data opens up the possibility of navigating indoors, where GPS signals are weak or nonexistent.
Broadcom is already the largest provider of GPS chips to smart-phone makers. Its new integrated circuit relies on sensors that aren't present in every new smart phone, so it won't perform the same in all devices. The new chip, like a number of existing ones, has the ability to triangulate using Wi-Fi hot spots. Broadcom maintains a database of these hot spots for client use, but it says most of its clients maintain their own.
A company that pioneered the construction and maintenance of these kinds of Wi-Fi hot spot databases is SkyHook Wireless. Skyhook CEO Ted Morgan is skeptical that Broadcom can catch up to his company's software-based system allowing for precise indoor location. "Broadcom is just now talking about something we have been doing for seven to eight years, uncovering all the challenges," says Morgan. These include battery management and cataloging a new wave of mobile Wi-Fi hot spots. "Broadcom has never done major deployment," adds Morgan.
Scott Pomerantz, vice president of the GPS division at Broadcom, counters that "the big [mobile] operating systems all have a strategy in place" to create their own Wi-Fi databases. Pomerantz isn't allowed to name names, but one of Broadcom's biggest customers is Apple, which previously used Skyhook for location services in its iPhone but now employs its own, Apple-built location system.
At least one feature of Broadcom's new GPS chip is entirely forward-looking, and integrates data from a source that is not yet commercially deployed: Bluetooth beacons. (Bluetooth is the wireless standard used for short-range communications in devices like wireless keyboards and phone headsets.)
"The use case [for Bluetooth beacons] might be malls," says Pomerantz. "It would be a good investment for a mall to put up a deployment—perhaps put them up every 100 yards, and then unlock the ability for people walking around mall to get very precise couponing information."
"The density of these sensors will give you even finer location," says Charlie Abraham, vice president of engineering at Broadcom. "It could show you where the bananas are within a store—even on which shelf there's a specific brand."

New Microchip Knows Your Location To Within Centimeters
Forget a chip in your forehead – the ‘mark of the beast’ is the cell phone
Paul Joseph Watson
Tuesday, April 10, 2012
The development of a new microchip for cell phones that knows the user’s location to within a few centimeters confirms the fact that contrary to biblical fears about mandatory implantable microchips, people have willingly exchanged their privacy for convenience and that the cell phone itself is the de facto “mark of the beast”.
“Broadcom has just rolled out a chip for smart phones that promises to indicate location ultra-precisely, possibly within a few centimeters, vertically and horizontally, indoors and out,” reports MIT Technology Review.
“In theory, the new chip can even determine what floor of a building you’re on, thanks to its ability to integrate information from the atmospheric pressure sensor on many models of Android phones. The company calls abilities like this “ubiquitous navigation,” and the idea is that it will enable a new kind of e-commerce predicated on the fact that shopkeepers will know the moment you walk by their front door, or when you are looking at a particular product, and can offer you coupons at that instant.”
Over 82% of Americans own cell phones, with around half of these being smart phones. In the near future, the majority of Americans will own smart phones that will have the ability to track their location down to a few centimeters.
With the effort to legally establish surveillance drones as a legitimate tool in domestic law enforcement, authorities could save a lot of time and money by simply requesting cell phone companies provide real-time tracking of suspects via their smart phones.
Indeed, Apple, Google and Microsoft have all been caught secretly tracking the physical locations of their users and saving that information to a file. How long is it before such data is instantly available to law enforcement bodies on demand, just as governments are legislating that ISPs and cell phone companies divulge our web browsing histories, email, texts and call information?
Biblical fears about the ‘mark of the beast’ being an implantable microchip forcibly injected into our foreheads have proven to be off base. Coercion was not necessary because people have been enticed into willingly giving up their privacy for convenience.
Indeed, paranoia about not being able to buy or sell without the ‘mark’ is now coming full circle with the increasing use of cell phones as payment gateways linked to credit cards.
Peer pressure and cultural brainwashing has also played a role – someone who doesn’t own a cell phone will find it almost impossible to operate in the modern world unless they live like a recluse or make a living by running a farm in the middle of nowhere.
The ‘Internet of things’ – where every appliance is connected to the world wide web – has been hailed by spooks as a green light for ubiquitous panopticon-style surveillance of the individual.
Broadcom’s new microchip will also make it easier for industry to accelerate plans to use Minority Report-style targeted advertising against consumers.
“The use case [for Bluetooth beacons] might be malls,” says Scott Pomerantz, vice president of the GPS division at Broadcom,. “It would be a good investment for a mall to put up a deployment—perhaps put them up every 100 yards, and then unlock the ability for people walking around mall to get very precise couponing information.”
The only way that technology can advance without destroying basic human rights in the process is if strong new legislation is passed increasing the penalties against both industry and government for using such technology to spy on users. However, the opposite is happening, with each new technological leap being dovetailed by aggressive efforts on behalf of the state to eviscerate what little privacy rights we have left.

Six tips on surviving the modern world in the event of a crisis
Modern, urban life is a minefield of toxic chemicals and health-sapping pollutants that can cause serious, long-term health damage if not carefully avoided or at least properly and regularly mitigated. But surviving the modern world requires a lot more than just avoiding toxic chemicals, as proper nutrition, essential skills, and self-sustaining living systems will all play a crucial role in surviving whatever may come our way in the very near future.
Should any of the currently-looming political and economic threats eventually lead to social upheaval, the everyday systems of living that most of us take for granted could become jeopardized, or even come to a complete halt. If the electricity grid in your local area suddenly failed, for instance, would you have an adequate backup plan for obtaining and storing food? Or if the local water utility shut down, would you have an alternate source for obtaining clean drinking water?
To assist our readers in being able to provide affirmative answers to these and other questions, we have put together a concise list of seven tips that will help you become better prepared to survive the modern world in the event of catastrophic, life-altering changes.
Plant a backyard garden
It has been said that the entire world is a mere three days away from total starvation, as many people have no idea how to raise their own food, and rely solely on grocery stores and restaurants for their food. In the event of a major disaster, grocery store shelves and restaurants would most certainly run out of food very quickly, leaving many people in a state of hopeless panic.
This is why planting a backyard garden or getting a greenhouse is crucial to you and your family's long-term survival. Learning about how to grow a variety of foods in varying weather and climate conditions will be worth far more than fiat currency in the event of a crisis, and it could end up saving your life.
Here is a helpful resource for learning more about backyard survival gardening: http://www.backwoodshome.com/articles/clay62.html
Learn and understand principles of permaculture
To go along with the backyard survival garden idea, learning and understanding the principles of permaculture will be essential for surviving "off the grid." This self-sustaining method of living, which includes learning how to grow organic foods and generate electricity at home, will ensure that, no matter what happens to "the system," you and your family will be able to survive independently.
Here are a few helpful resources for learning more about permaculture:

Invest in gold, silver, diamonds
The American monetary system today centers around a fiat currency that is backed by debt and run by a private central bank known as the Federal Reserve, which has been devaluing it for decades. Based on the way things have been going, the American dollar will eventually become worthless, particularly in the event of hyperinflation (http://www.ronpaul.com).
But you can help protect your financial assets by converting your Federal Reserve Notes (FNRs) to gold, silver, diamonds, or various other precious metals and gemstones that hold inherent value. Unlike FNRs, precious metals and gemstones will retain value in the event of a crisis, and can be used to barter for much-needed goods.
Regularly purify, detoxify your body
Health truly is wealth, and a critical component of health maintenance is to regularly detoxify it of harmful chemicals and toxins that gradually build up over time. Colon cleansing, liver cleansing, and supplementation with detoxifying "superfoods" are great ways to ensure that your immune system is always prepared for whatever may be thrown its way.

Always drink plenty of clean, fluoride-free water -- and know how to get it in the event of a crisis
Clean water is the most basic and fundamental aspect of maintaining life, and yet many people would not know where to find it or how to obtain it in the event of a major crisis. If water utilities and grocery store shelves no longer had any water available, or were unable to maintain an adequate supply, would you know how to get it?
A great place to start is simply to stock up on purified or spring water, which can include filling rain barrels with rainwater. Water from local streams and rivers can also be purified using systems like the Berkey filtration systems, which use gravity rather than electricity to make clean water (http://www.directive21.com/).
Non-electric water distillers can also convert dirty water into clean water using a fuel source. And if no fuel source is available, portable water filters can collect water from fresh sources in nature and pump it directly into bottles for drinking. Iodine tablets can also be used to purify water and make it suitable for drinking.
Discover edible plants, and stock up on organic, non-GMO seeds
Knowing the difference between edible and poisonous plants found in the wild is a helpful tool for ensuring that you always have food to eat. Your local library or bookstore most likely carries edible plant guides that are specific to your area, which will help you in learning more about what is safe to eat in the event of an emergency. Here is one example:
http://www.judyofthewoods.net/forage_uk.html
It is also a good idea to stock up on organic, non-GMO seeds, and learn how to plant and cultivate them.

SPOKANE — The following information was submitted by an Intel Soldier™ via: tips@theintelhub.com
I saw this the other day. Notice the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) emblem INSIDE the entrance! There are no markings at all on the outside. It is a HUGE building, several floors high.
Notice the camera system in place and steel.
Peephole window shades! It even comes with a loading dock on the west side!
The following is a topographical image of the structure.

US Military Blackhawks circle downtown Chicago skies honing urban battle skills.
FOX Chicago News
Chicago - Blackhawks and A/MH-6 Little Bird helicopters used by special forces circling low through downtown Chicago skies made for a scary scene along the Chicago River, as they rattled windows flying among the city's skyscrapers.
The training exercise comes as the city found out some of the details of what the Secret Service wants for security at next month's summit at McCormick Place.

FOX Chicago News has their terror prevention shopping list, courtesy of the Chicago Sun-Times:
Portable high security barriers
Crowd control barriers
10-12 portable light towers
Sandbags, port-a-potties
Mobile offices
5-10 golf carts
The Chicago Tribune reports that the most traffic for NATO dignitaries will be between McCormick place and downtown hotels in the Loop, River North and the Gold Coast.
Fifty heads of state will attend, with delegates, and will be moving multiple times each day.
FOX Chicago News viewers called in, describing men with automatic weapons, hanging out of helicopters.
The city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications on Monday announced that Chicago is the site of a military training exercise this week involving personnel and at least three helicopters.
But the bland press release from City Hall did nothing to prepare folks for the jarring scene that unfolded Monday evening.
“It was frightening,” Jessica Hill said. “I was definitely alarmed.”
At least three Blackhawk helicopters flying at time in close order formation - at other times separating fairly widely - zoomed around office and residential towers for several hours.
“I was pretty amazed,” Felise Llano said, “because they were definitely military.”
Witnesses described three to four very heavily armed men in each chopper. Several said some of the men appeared to be tethered and were at times literally hanging out of the choppers, and looked ready to jump.
Calling it routine training, city officials said in a statement such exercises are conducted by military personnel in various cities around the country. They say the exercises are designed to improve the military's ability to operate in urban environments.
Emergency management officials said the training sites have been selected to minimize the impact on residents' daily routines.
The timing of the drills led some to wonder if they're in preparation for next month's NATO summit.
But officials said that the summit and the drills are unrelated.

James Wesley Rawles: The Coming Collapse – Pepare NOW! But if the Power Grid Goes Down, All Bets Are Off
This is my new interview with NY Times best-selling author and the editor of SurvivalBlog.com James Wesley Rawles. James is a leading voice in all things related to prepping & survival. In this exclusive interview Mr. Rawles warns that the economic collapse is coming and it probably cannot be prevented. The key to survival is being prepared. But Rawles notes, if the North American power grids go down, “all bets are off”. In the short term things may get very, very ugly – but the good news he says, is because it will be “impossible” to disarm the American people, in the long run “freedom will prevail”.
