When Bush the Greater, best friend forever of the Sauds, installs a windmill - well, that makes me wonder.

Why would a rich person install a personal wind generator? So they have power when others don't?

That's why I want a wind turbine - to have power in the event of an infrastructure failure.

In case you're wondering, I saw it on the evening news - presumably it will be on the net somewhere.

I wonder what brand he got? Kennebunkport is a good place for wind power.

I can't resist...

Jay Leno also has a wind generator installed for his garage (If you know of his love of cars you'll know this is a major thing). Does he know something we don't?
They're not cheap and they are not reliable enough to totally replace purchased power. IMO, they're just a way one can try do their part in conserving what they can.

I think a lot of that depends upon where you live. Iceland is BIG on geo-thermal (I think they're 100%). Aren't there geo-thermal plants near Yellowstone? Hawaii???
