Santa Clauses Told Not To Say Ho Ho HO

Santas in Australia's largest city have been told not to use Father Christmas's traditional "ho ho ho" greeting because it may be offensive to women, it was reported Thursday.

Sydney's Santa Clauses have instead been instructed to say "ha ha ha" instead, the Daily Telegraph reported.

One disgruntled Santa told the newspaper a recruitment firm warned him not to use "ho ho ho" because it could frighten children and was too close to "ho", a US slang term for prostitute.

"Gimme a break," said Julie Gale, who runs the campaign against sexualising children called Kids Free 2B Kids.

"We are talking about little kids who do not understand that "ho, ho, ho" has any other connotation and nor should they," she told the Telegraph.

"Leave Santa alone."

A local spokesman for the US-based Westaff recruitment firm said it was "misleading" to say the company had banned Santa's traditional greeting and it was being left up to the discretion of the individual Santa himself.

That's silly. The idea of Santa is silly enough but the idea that Santa laughing could be offensive is even more absurd. I say we get rid of the entire gift giving thing and get people back to what Christmas was originally.

Not everything is about race CS. The article didn't mention anything about color or race, only gender. You're making an unwarranted leap.

Originally Christmas was celebrated to control the masses. Now it's celebrated to get those controlled masses to spend money.

Dude, Christmas is already a joke. You have to look no further than your local stores. You know, the ones that have Christmas displays out in SEPTEMBER. And are playing Christmas music over the store speakers in SEPTEMBER. Damn, they even had Christmas music playing over the Halloween stuff. Is that majority rules? :banghead:

As far as Christmas goes, every year there is some group trying to stop it or force it out one way or another.

America was built by Christians. The Constitution , The Declaration Of Independence, The Bill Of Rights all designed by Christians - which every foreigner and criminal twists to there own cause against America.

1. Where the Bible speaks about Santa Claus
2. Anything in the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence or The Bill of Rights that mentions the Christian religion or Jesus.

Get a grip on yourself. You're taking some nut that lives on the other side of the world way too serious.

It's Santa Claus. A fictitious man based on German and Norwegian fairy tales. He comes on a fictitious date declared by Charlemagne as the day that he was coronated and not even in the same season that Jesus was born.

It has nothing to do with religion or the founding documents of this nation and if you believe it does then I can understand your frustration with many things in the world.
