Dissecting the disinformation on Western secret strategy in the new Middle East wars source (http://nafeez.blogspot.com/2007/11/more-pontification-more-propaganda-on.html)

Ineptitude, lack of foresight and mismanagement no doubt played a role. Ware would have us believe they played the only role. Seemingly critical of Anglo-American policymaking, it’s important to note that Ware’s BBC investigation rarely attempts to actually subject any of the individuals he interviews to meaningful scrutiny. The entire programme assumes that Anglo-American objectives in Iraq were, and are, fundamentally to create a stable, democratic country; that officials were genuine and sincere in their intentions, but were so pre-occupied by rushing to war and some unspecified “ideology”, that they simply “recklessly” failed to plan properly. This failure then, while worthy of harsh criticism, was still a matter of sheer stupidity on the part of our governments.

The author goes on to give several concrete examples of extensive planning - just not of the kind government propaganda would have you believe was so thoroughly insufficient.

Establishing democracy and a stable independent Iraq and Afghanistan were never the main goals.

Bush is a war criminal psychopath who wants to go to war irrespective of the consequences to the USA & Americans.

He is largely just using it as a cover to loot the US treasury under the guise of 'the war on terrorism'.

Sheer stupidity.

Like the ethnic cleansing - ooops, what could we do, we tried to help those dumb iraqis, we just couldn't stop those torture-death squads until after they cleansed baghdad into eastern shias and western sunnis, with the tigris river between em.

Sheer coincidence that we let them kill each other, then put in 30,000 more troops to stabilize things.

Shucks, we're just so stoopid we caint even spell stoopid.

Heck, we showed the Iraqis what civilized torture looks like at Abu Ghraib,
but they have different, even worse standards. I am sure our recent ancestors had no problem doing the same.

Sometimes i kind of hate humanity.
What a despicable, unenlightened species,
take a beautiful, potentially splendid planet & turn it into a squalid wreck.

Makes me feel like letting the avalanche of humanity do what it will & try to preserve my microscopic patch of things for me, for however long i survive.

A species with clever minds but lacking in depth of vision, in a word untainted inspiration.

oh well, life is short,
'what? me worry?'

[SIZE="4"]Establishing democracy and a stable independent Iraq and Afghanistan were never the main goals.

Whenever the Bush Policy in Iraq is challenged on something, Bush supporters deny the challenge was ever among the stated goals.

Big fat liars they are. Nuthin' but big fat liars :banghead:

Remember when talent and ability were prime considerations for employment? In the nearly 40 years since Nixon, politicians have made integrity the #1 job prerequisite. How sad. Damn, I remember when integrity was a given.
