What do we benefit from in remembering this attack?

How about: remembering our shared grief ? Remembering our long-lost sense of unity as a nation ? Remembering there are things greater than the usual partisan snark ?

To remember and to honor the victims, heroes etc. is first of all about respect. In addition it serves as a stark reminder of our freedoms and that those freedoms are not to be taken for granted. In a split second many lives were changed forever....

Would you agree many of our freedoms have been lost as a result of our government actions, as well?

9-11 repurcussions live on. been to an airport lately? even going into Disneyworld, you get frisked, and women empty their purse ( or rather have it opened.

I guess that's normal practice now, that and perpetual war. damn shame, so much for the 4th. Somuch for staying out of foreign wars.

Bin Laden set out what he accomplished to do. I figure he's on Virgin#21 by now.

So, is this a reminder that we LOST freedom after 9/11 and that we should expect to lose more in the event of another attack?

To remember the innocent people who lost their lives in a senseless raghead attack. To honor the firefighters and other who lost their lives valiantly trying to save others. And to never forget the ragheads who did it.

For you "none", suggest you tighten up those shackles you wear...I've lost more freedom under Obama than I did after 9/11.

:0)

Or he's sipping Pina Coladas somewhere off South Beach.

What 9/11 ushered in was an age of government by illusion. Nothing can be trusted anymore without serious critical examination.

We exist in the Matrix.

The illusion feels better than truth.

History will define it as America's Reichstag Fire and the end of the American Century.

China rises as a sanctuary from the evil of American illusion.

Funny how nobody 'remembers' why we got attacked.

Which is why we'll be attacked again, and again, and again.

Well New York City a blue state was targeted and hit, since Red State America, especially in the Southern states should consider themselves lucky they haven't been hit yet since they love war so much and hates the Rag Heads.
