Cleric: Women’s Sexy Clothing Distracting Muslim Men From Sleep, Prayers

FoxNews, October 31, 2007

Malaysia’s Muslim men are suffering sleepless nights and cannot pray properly because their thoughts are distracted by a growing number of women who wear sexy clothes in public, a prominent cleric said.

Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, the spiritual leader of the opposition Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, said he wanted to speak about the “emotional abuse” that men face because it is seldom discussed, the party reported on its Web site Wednesday.

“We always [hear about] the abuse of children and wives in households, which is easily perceived by the eye, but the emotional abuse of men cannot be seen,” Nik Abdul Aziz said. “Our prayers become unfocused and our sleep is often disturbed.”

Nik Abdul Aziz has made controversial comments about women in the past, including that women should stop wearing lipstick and perfume to lower the risk of being raped. Women’s groups have slammed his statements, saying Islam teaches both men and women to be responsible for modesty. They say comments like these encourage rapes because it puts the onus on women.

Nik Abdul Aziz’s fundamentalist party has about 800,000 members. He is also the chief minister of northeastern Kelantan, the only one of Malaysia’s 13 states that is not ruled by the moderate National Front governing coalition.

His party’s Web site published an illustration Wednesday of how women should dress—in long, flowing headscarves covering their hair and chests and “baggy and loose” long-sleeved, floor-length dresses.

Weak kneed liberals: " B-b-b-but they are not all like that"!

Um, yes, but not mentioning the ones who are for fear of offending the ones who aren't has landed Europe in the grinder, with several civil "disturbances" pending. Kind of what happens when problems are not addressed and allowed to fester. The Tyranny of Political Correctness...guess what? By not addressing problems, you are addressing problems. You're just saying that you don't care.

The ass-licking that Europe has done for decades by allowing any and all bizarre practices to go by in the name of "it's just their culture" is coming back to breed misery. But not requiring any kind of recognition of the host country or it's laws and practices, they have allowed Islam to do what it wants to do anyway...refuse to assimilate and attempt to destroy from within. How do we know that is what they want? Ask 'em! They are neither shy nor unclear about their plans for the West.

It is obvious that Muslims will never call out their own...ever. You see, they can't. They will be killed. Any society that condones the murder of women for any reason, forced female circumcision, forced arranged marriage of children...these are cultures that should be stamped out like a blight, and would not be missed.

"B-b-b-but...."

What?

This sounds like the wacko right wing of America, protesting Marine funerals, because the US 'promotes homosexuality'.

Or the war nuts who listen to nothing but government propaganda about mythical islamofascism or the Islamic Caliphate & calling Iraqi freedom fighters 'terrorists'.

There are a lot of stupid, gullible, intellectually lazy people in the world.

does this ring a bell, opinionator?

This is your problem. Things like not being able to differentiate between the Right Wing and a damned Cult.

I heard that!

Islamofascism is not mythical, and "Iraqi freedom fighters" are the Iraqi's that are fighting al qaida and terrorist insurgence, to protect their democratically elected government.

One man's "freedom fighter" is another man's "terrorist". The British government called American rebels "terrorists" during the Revolutionary War.

No, it's not.

Does every left-winger believe Bush "planned" 911?

These people are a Cult. That's all there is to it. Your lumping everyone together who doesn't tow the liberal line shows how little you understand things. It's an ignorant statement.

Agreed. it would be difficult to find a lazier, stupider post then yours here. Why bother? Simply claim that you agree with the tenets of the Koran as practiced by radical Islam and be done with it. Don't pretend that they have been somehow misinterpreted!

There is no gray area in Sharia Law as practiced by Islamic extremists. Period. What they stand for is the destruction of all of us even, presumably, you. Like most liberals , you will get right up to the very end before realizing a terrible mistake was made. When you try to ingratiate and service the enemy, orally or otherwise, they will kill you first. Why? Because they do not value traitors as highly as we do. They will see you as the weakest of all creatures and want rid of you.

As radioguy says, Iraq is FULL of freedom fighters, just not the ones our media prefers. You know, the enemy.

Opinionator, are you a Marine?

I get that impression from your avatar image.

No, but good eye! This is one of the avatars that I had not seen before. I have quite a few friends and acquaintances who are former or current Marines, and I work with them regularly.

Speaking of avatars, have you ever seen the 'cat-herding' commercial from a couple of years ago? Still the best I have ever seen. So many of the images are sublime, including the cowboy on his horse, end of the long day, backlit by the sunset, spitting out cat-hair. Too much!

I like your Avatar.

Are you a Marine?

My father was a Marine. He served in WWII. When he returned he continued in his Roll and became a Drill Instructor.
My dad was so cool, but he could turn on the Heat real quick.

I remember we went to the Veterans Hospital to see one of his friends that had full blown Alzheimer’s. The man didn't even know what time of the day it was. My dad handed me a plaque that had the Marine Corps Code of Honor and his friend quoted it word for word.
I was very impressed.

In later years after I grew up, my dad wanted me to go into the Marine Corps, but all my friends were going Army Airborne, so that's what I did to.
I went into the US Army in the Elite Airborne Infantry Paratroop Jumpers.

My dad hated the fact that I didn't go in the MC, and instead became an Airborne Ranger, but the fact that I went in at all was enough to make him proud.

I served in Vietnam during the Tet Mau Than Offensive in 68, for which we received the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm for VIETNAM 1968-1969, and the Republic of Vietnam Civil Action Honor Medal, First Class for VIETNAM 1968.

I have the Up Most respect for anyone who has served or is currently serving in any branch of the US Military especially those that have seen or are currently serving in active duty combat.

I went gladly to serve for my Country and I would gladly go again now if they would let me.

I get so sick of these bleeding heart liberals that have never even been out of this country let alone served one day in the Military who can do nothing but scream how Bush lied, and how we need to Get our troops out NOW, and cut and run chicken shits that have no idea what it's like spewing out the anti war rhetoric.
We have men and women fighting for their freedom to sit home here and chant their bull shit, and fly the flag upside down, and disrespect our Countries Banner and spew off at how the President lied to the world, and to go even as far as to say that 9-11 was an inside job the way that they do.

It chaps my ass to have to sit here day in and day out and listen to the anti American rhetoric that these morons spew out, yet most of them don't even know what it's like.

You do me a favor.

I want you to shake every one of those USMC friends of yours hands, and tell them I said THANKS.

Semper FI

And as we in the Airborne say:
HOOOOAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
