In an explosive monologue lambasting President Bush:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2: and the Pentagon as "ignorant" for implementing a policy of using private security firms as protection for troops in Iraq, CNN's Lou Dobbs said the US military should be "mortified and embarrassed."

The extended outburst followed a story from the network's Jamie McIntyre, who reported that US Army Brigadier General Jeffrey Dorko was wounded in Iraq on Monday when his vehicle was hit by an IED explosion. He is the highest ranking officer yet injured in such an incident. :

Frank, Im surprised at you. Lou Dobbs is an American hero. The only one
with the guts to lay it all out and talk about it. If it werent for him I dont
know what we would do.

And Fox!!!!! I never saw the day I would switch to CNN but I have. Fox
has lost something, O'Reilley has taken on some kind of attitude and to me
lost his edge, Shep Smiths little not so clever attempts at being cute have
become very obnoxious to me and I cant stomach him anymore. Hannity
and Colmes....same thing all the time. Old! I try to watch it because of
CNNs history of extreme left leanings but I have to say they dont seem to
be that way anymore and I find myself on CNN 90% of my tv time.

He never reports any good news from Iraq

For example , in Jesse's video it was stated that the US casualtie's are down drastically and that the Pentagon says the surge is working , sectarial violence is down , the ethnic cleansing has stopped, a soldier and a general escaped being killed but Dobbs choose's to focus on fact that US troops relye on private security firms to help out with security and the these private security employees are payed much more than the troops

I don't have any problem whatsover with the Pentagon hiring outside security firms and I don't see why anyone else should.

Its pretty obvious, by this article that they're doing thier job , especially if it means saving lives, Amercian lives

I never watch CNN so I don't know if they have commentators but FoxNews has a group of conservative commentators, (not reporters) who discuss the daily political events, and they do put a conservative spin on the discussion but it is just thier opinions

I was comparing O'Reilley and Dobbs in the sense of who is at the top
of my list to watch....its a short list. To me, the difference between

I just want to come out in Lou Dobbs defense.

I don't agree with him on the war. But I agree with him on a lot. He's great on the issues Cat Slave states.

And I've come to avoid O'Reilly and Hannity for a while now. In some respects they come out as the conservative version of Keith Olbermann - who I detest with a passion.

I make it a point of flipping around between CNN, MSNBC and Fox, to try and get both sides perspective on a story.

To have an alternative to capitalism or communism/socialism means you have to have a different paradigm for society.

I think realization that we have collective selfish interests might possibly be a real & alternative paradigm.
While we have differentiable control/ownerships there are somethings that whether i pollute the air or you do, we both end up with less breathable air. Water has some [but only some] of this same analogy.

The ratio of planet to person is dropping rapidly, the ratio of demands on the planet per person are sliding away even faster.

I think we must become more zen or perish.
In evolution's history perish has been the ONLY occurrence.
