Computers mimic human reasoning by building on simple rules and statistical averages. Test your strategy against the computer in this rock-paper-scissors game illustrating basic artificial intelligence. Choose from two different modes: novice, where the computer learns to play from scratch, and veteran, where the computer pits over 200,000 rounds of previous experience against you.

That's pretty neat, 13 rounds into it and 5 wins for me, 3 ties and 4 wins for the machine.

I managed a 7-1-2 out of 10...in easy mode.

I played Veteran mode, since it seemed that the computer would have to learn to "think" from scratch in Novice mode. I'll have to go back and try it again in Novice to see the difference. It seemed like by about round 18 in Veteran mode it was starting to beat me very regular like hehe.

11-8-7 in Veteran mode. Among my many, many talents is my ability to beat anyone in RPS.
