Ouch! Bush Blasts "Do-Nothing" Democratic Congress!

BUSH GETS REAL WITH CONGRESS...
President Bush bashed the very unpopular (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2007/10/worst-ever-bush-has-higher-poll-ratings.html)"do nothing" democratic Congress on their horrible record today.

Obviously, Americans expect more from the "do-nothing" (http://www.galluppoll.com/content/?ci=27946) Democratic Congress besides sabotaging the troops in Iraq (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2007/10/sabotage_in_wartime.html)and bashing Four Star Generals (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2007/09/giuliani-slams-hillary-hillary-stands.html) when they come to visit.

Bush addressed the liberal media today at the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room.

President George W. Bush holds a press conference Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room. "Congress has work to do on the budget. One of Congress's basic duties is to fund the day-to-day operations of the federal government," said President Bush. "Yet Congress has not sent me a single appropriations bill." President Bush gave Democrats a few pointers this morning.
The White House (http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/10/20071017.html) reported:

THE PRESIDENT: Good morning. We're now more than halfway through October, and the new leaders in Congress have had more than nine months to get things done for the American people. Unfortunately, they haven't managed to pass many important bills.

Now the clock is winding down and in some key areas Congress is just getting started.

Congress has work to do on health care. Tomorrow Congress will hold a vote attempting to override my veto of the S-CHIP bill. It's unlikely that that override vote will succeed, which Congress knew when they sent me the bill. Now it's time to put politics aside and seek common ground to reauthorize this important program. I've asked Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt, National Economic Council Director Al Hubbard, and OMB Director Jim Nussle to lead my administration's discussions with the Congress. I made clear that if putting poor children first requires more than the 20 percent increase in funding I proposed, we'll work with Congress to find the money we need. I'm confident we can work out our differences and reauthorize S-CHIP.

Congress has work to do to keep our people safe...
Congress has work to do on the budget...
Congress has work to do on education...
Congress has work to do on housing...
Congress has work to do on trade...
Congress has work to do for our military veterans...
Congress also needs to complete the Veterans Affairs appropriations bill that funds veterans' benefits and other ongoing programs...
You get the picture.
Obviously, the democrats should spend less time on bogus investigations (http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/democrats_have_launched_300_investigations_in_last _100_days/)and more time on getting something done for this country.
Let's hope they took this good advice from Bush.

Sadly, this was not the case.
Democrats shut down debate (http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblogs/TWSFP/2007/10/house_democrats_shut_down_deba.asp) on terror surveilance- Another win for the terrorists!

Doug Ross (http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2007/10/unintended-consequences.html) explains the unintended consequences of democrats ignoring terrorist surveilance

Congress could probably get all that done in short order if Bush would get his ass out of the way and allow them to.

What frank fails to understand is that while Congress is not too popular right now, Democrats are.

"The most striking figure is the combined $104 million cash-on-hand for the four top Democrats -- Sen. Hillary Clinton (N.Y.), Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.), former Sen. John Edwards (N.C.) and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson -- compared to the $35 million cash on hand for the top four Republicans—former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Sen. Fred Thompson (Tenn.) and Sen. John McCain (Ariz.)."

Oh, and lets welcome Niki Tsongas (Democrat), who beat Republican Jim Ogonowskias, as our newest member of Congress.:D

Ouch! :lmao2:

Oh know. Bush is blaming someone else for things instead of taking responsibility.

Frank, this only works with about 1/3 of America and about 8% of the entire world. The rest of the people look at facts instead of the blame game.

Why, it's almost as if nobody is behind this horror of a war or attacking Iran... or maybe they just want the SCHIP bill passed without all the bullshit, or any of the other thousand things nobody seems capable of getting right.

Newsflash to Frank: Democrats are attacking the do-nothing Congress. Bush isn't exactly a front-runner on this one.

Still, it's nice to see that, as always, he has no part in any of this. It's not his fault. Of course.

Because it's not like he's the President or anything.

BTW: How long before they bring up Bill Clinton's presidency? Bets, anyone...?

Oh, and is it at all possible to hold the exaggerated font sizes down to a minimum? It's not a better headline just because you scream it.

Dude. Already depressed about this one. What a crappy bunch of choices.
