WASHINGTON - Republican presidential candidate John McCain said Tuesday he prays every night the United States doesn't go to war with Iran, and he blamed Russia and China for standing in the way of a diplomatic solution.
I wanted to vote for this man in 2000 but does he really think that we believe he prays? Give me a break.
Russia and China?
Will their dastardly deeds never end?
Once a commie, always a commie! Better dead than red!

If you think Iraq was a massive clusterfuck, wait till the neocons attack Iran.
Iran has SEVEN TIMES the population of Iraq and has not been weakened by a decade of UN sanctions. I don't know what army they think they can attack Iran with. Does anyone feel a draft?
I believe the Republican plan is to drop a few hundred megatons of bombs, then the Iranians will rise up against their elected leaders and install a pro-US regime, in gratitude for the bombing.
If that sounds fucking insane to you, that's because it is.

I've always felt that Dubya will follow in his father's foot steps by starting shit right before he hands office over to the next President. I think they'll just bomb a site or two in December 2008 and then around spring of 2009 start blaming the new dem president for the war with Iran.

I believe he prays. I also believe that no one (I.E. God) listens to them. :D

Strategic bombing can be useful, even essential in some circumstances, but it is correct to say that bombing alone isn't going to topple any regime. We didn't count on it doing so in Iraq and shouldn't count on it for regime change in Iran. While we might be able to deal a severe blow to the Iranian nuclear program, we probably couldn't do so without massive collateral damage. Even then, it might not be enough.
For that matter, sanctions are not likely to be enough, either. The only kind of sanctions that would have a ghost of a prayer would be those that would bring great harm to the Iranian people in general. And we'll just be blamed for that, as well.
Hell, we couldn't even decapitate Iraq with bombing, and the reich-wing reactionaries have been making fun of Clinton's attempt to decapitate al Qaeda with cruise missiles for years. But it's all going to work out just fine THIS time, right?:D
I suspect we'll have to learn to live with a nuclear Iran. Perhaps we should concentrate on encouraging the Iranian people's interest in reform and liberalization.

I blame Mohamed ElBaradei. He did, after all, dispute US claims of NBC weapons capability in Iraq and the US unilaterally attacked Iraq. This timec if he supported US claims of Iran seeking nuclear weapons capability, the hawks in Washington would back off just to be contradictory. I'm sure of it.
But, nooo. Has to repeat history. When will ElBaradei ever learn?

I man that jokes about killing people in mass can NOT be religious in any way. They may play a religious man on TV but there ain't no way they believe in God or Jesus or any thing described in The Bible.

McCain had a screw loose that day.
Not exactly the winning endorsement if of course you want a SANE president.
I think 8 years of insanity is sufficient to the task.
