View Full Version : Fantastic! Puton pledges Iran support, russia will help their nuclear program
Life doesn't get any better than this. creamy!
And now, after we attack, russia can provide iran with an industrial base.
Incredible, a real chance to see russian vs US tech in a field war.
---
"President Putin forged an alliance with Iran yesterday against any military action by the West and pledged to complete the controversial Iranian nuclear power plant at Bushehr.
A summit of Caspian Sea nations in Tehran agreed to bar foreign states from using their territory for military strikes against a member country. Mr Putin, the first Kremlin leader to visit Iran since the Second World War, insisted that the use of force was unacceptable.
“It is important . . . that we not only not use any kind of force but also do not even think about the possibility of using force,” he told the leaders of Iran, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
The declaration of the five states did not specify a particular threat. Rumours have long circulated, however, that the US is seeking Azerbaijan’s permission to use airfields for possible military action to stop Iran from developing a nuclear bomb. "

Gee... I'm shocked nobody has attempted to blame Bush for this yet.
So what do you suppose should be done about this, if anything Bill?

Cool. Now there hopefully won't be any pre-emptive strike against Iran because of some saber rattling psychopath.

Don't count on it. IT will be Bush, Cheney or Hillary.

It would be rather premature to attack Iran based on some perceived threat which doesn't exist. I see this is as a step in the right direction. The American warmongers will not have their cake and eat it too. Unless of course, they decide to flush America down the tubes completely.
Anyone think China will step up to support Iran next?

It was premature to attack Iraq too, though they already knew they wouldn't find any WMD's there. Now with Iran? Well, with North Korea backing them and Russia too? That's a different story.
They might whip our butts good unless we send Blackwater over instead. They are trigger happy and don't give a damn who gets killed.

Attack iran quickly? Threaten Russia with dire consequences?
I vote for invading turkmenistan. Those turkmen are shifty, one and all.

Your sarcasm though humorous, doesn't promote much in the way of political debate Bill.
From my point of view, this was inevitable from the very start of the war.
How is it my fault that consequences that were obvious come to pass?
Nor were my reponses humorous. We will attack more quickly because of this, we will threaten russia, and chances are good the stans are going to explode soon.
And the turkmen really are shifty.
What cracks me up is that you guys really thought the rest of the world would kiss your feet, instead of taking advantage of a strategically unsustainable imbalance when you get us stuck in it.

I think that had something to do with their over inflated pride and self importance.
It is imparitive that we learn from their mistakes and not repeat them ourselves.

Shhh.... He hasn't been paying attention to US/Russian relationships for the past few months. He's had his blinders (sun glasses) on all summer :)

LOL, true, very true. But unless he's been wearing his ear plugs too he should have KNOWN about it himself.
;)

It's a little late but I think we should put some rumors in play, such as:
"the USA would be willing to NOT build missile defenses in Poland and CZ if Russia would not support Iran's nuclear ambitions."
Putin lost a great deal of face a few months ago and he will do anything to get it back. If that means that we have to negotiate then that's what we should do.

This seems almost like one of those things can can be solved through diplomacy, by which I mean we're going to attack somebody.

This is Bush's chance to start WWIII as he so aptly spelled out.
Gosh, can't we all just fall in goose step behind this one?
All Heil, Bush!
This is Bush's chance to start WWIII as he so aptly spelled out.
He won't start that war yet. That's for Jeb in coming years.
Dubya will start some shit when he leaves office but only enough to make things very difficult for the next President. Like daddy like Dubya.

There you have it, winger diplomacy in a nutshell.
Quick, somebody attack somebody.
The russians are coming!
