Yesterday one of our local news channels broadcast a story on how cops are patrolling neighborhoods with high foreclosure rates for the sole purpose of removing squawters. This is a total violation of due process because the process is eviction or Unlawful Detainer. Yes, even for squawters.

Of course the news channel spin wasn't about due process rights but how the cops were out there in neighborhoods with mid-six figure price tags protecting property. And of course these otherwise homeless squawters don't have any business in $500,000 neighborhoods so why should they have any rights?

Not only are our federal institutions, like the FRB, not looking out for you and me; the paper money boys now our local cops doing their dirty work. What happenned to the oath every cop takes to protect and defend the constitution? What happenned to cops not getting involved in civil matters? and cops wonder why they're called pigs?

If you read or saw the movie version of Salinger's Grapes of Wrath, you know there's no justice for the poor. If you haven't well...what goes around comes around and fascism is back.

Get used to it folks. It's only just the beginning.

It's going to get worse mate. People voted for Dubya knowing that he would lead us to economic collapse. After all he did it with everything else. They chose abortion and war over financial prosperity.

Now we can only hope that make a better choice in 2008

With all due respect Sir Moby, I have no faith that the Dems will halt our descent into fascism.

Fascism and totalitarianism is coming. The only way to aver it is to vote out the Reps and dems, which I doubt we will do.

I'm not sure it matters kres. The USA is a very young country. We've been fliritng with it for so long now. Some say 1913 with the creation of the most recent central bank, others argue FDR's administration, still others argue under Johnson and his illegal War in Vietnam, some insist it began with Nixon and his expansion of federal authority.

I dunno when it started. I do know Reagan and the Neocons expanded it especially with asset forfeiture, Clinton brought us closer by expanding federal authority as Nixon did. It seems Bush/Cheney is bringing the hammer all the way down.
