BAGHDAD, Oct. 7 — The Iraqi prime minister’s office said Sunday that the government’s investigation had determined that Blackwater USA private security guards who shot Iraqi civilians three weeks ago in a Baghdad square sprayed gunfire in nearly every direction, committed “deliberate murder” and should be punished accordingly.

Imagine, wanton needless violent murder, & someone is actually being called on it?

Next thing you know neocons will feel shame for what they needlessly unleashed in Iraq. No that will NEVER happen.

PS. don't let neurotic guilt stop you from leaving a situation where you are doing no good, & only forestalling the inevitable.

And god help you if you leverage that error into launching into another, Iranian error. Conmen, capable of INFINITELY compounding errors.

Remember when we used to be the good guys? WTF happenned to us?

In WWII we were the good guys because we didn't torture POW's. In WWI, we were the good guys coming to the aid of free Europe against totalitarian rule. In the Cold War we were the good guys pitted again against a totalitarian regime bent on world conquest.

Neocons and this Republican Party do not represent traditional American values.

The left sure as hell doesn't.

We still are the good guys. The bad guys have just gotten worse.

Under Bush/Cheney we have sunk to their level. Bush/Cheney have turned this into a War Among Terrorists.

I think it's a far cry from the firebombings of Dresden and Tokyo.

what's with ganging up on "Black-Water" already? Seems that the problem is that they are doing their job too well. I would like to see the results of an impartial and professional investigation into the circumstances.
I didn't hear all of this uproar from the Iraqi "Government" :lmao2: when the Black Water people were ambushed with roadside bombs, then shot up, dragged through the streets and hung from the bridge.
I think their message coming out of their gun barrels is: Hell no, we are not going to let this happen to us again.
Also, how about the Iraqi "government" coming out against the horrible and brutual car bombings and bombings of the Mosque. If American were doing that they would break out the old "Crusader" word, I am sure.
Bottom line folks: TIME TO GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE AND LET THEM HAVE AT EACH OTHER> NOT WORTH ONE MORE AMERICAN LIFE!

Rules of engagement:

Any vehicle driving towards a convoy and refuses to stop gets shot. Anyone approaching a convoy who refuses to halt gets shot. Anyone crossing the street in front of a convoy gets run over. Any vehicle could be a suicide bomber and any individual could be attempting to stop a convoy for an ambush. All convoys stop when a dead animal is seen in the road, to check it for IEDs before proceeding. Those are the military standard rules in Iraq.

And most non-military vehicles in convoys are equipped with flashing lights and warning signs in english and arabic to stay 100 feet away, unless it's in a dangerous sector where the person the convoy's protecting is a critical target they expect an attack attempt to be made on.

This is general knowledge among the Iraqis.

Those dirty iraqis, throwing themselves on blackwater bullets just to make them look bad!

Will their dastardly deeds never end?

Still waiting to hear what the FBI has to say, after they finish their investigation. The Interior Ministry and National Police are suspect, in general.

I don't think you are seeing the larger picture.

This is a political issue, not a law enforcement issue.

Or do you think the iraqi people are going to say, "Oh right, the FBI cleared them of all wrongdoing, we just love blackwater now!".

This is about trust and respect, which the iraqis need to rebuild in order to form a moderate society.

I do see the larger picture. And the actual facts are important in all these cases, whichever way it turns out.
