I find Maher is able to be both politically pointed yet acid and quite funny.

Some other comedians who's politics i might agree with don't seem to quite manage it. They are a bit to stiff.

He has the limber, agileness of mind to deconstruct the absurdities behind conventional [dare i say?] stupidities.
