This is a good article...it go a whole page, I posted only the first paragraph.
It is great to see what and how our grassroots is reponding (finally ) to this canker on our society. Our society historically has righted itself from evils...although not as universal and well positioned at our throats as this long term malady has existed and prospered. But deleting the bush family is a beginning. My statement is based upon getting the can open first, then all the worms will wriggle out condemning all those in the bush clan...those still breathing and those who do not.

Do you think they really could have done that if they were able to get their hands on him? That would be great!!!! Kudos to them for the effort.

Let's get George W. Bush's image on Mt. Rushmore.

http://www.petitionspot.com/uploads/1455-mt%20rushmore.jpeg

This country is under the leadership of one of the finest presidents we'll see for centuries to come. It is only fitting we should honor this fine man is some way. The most fitting tribute imaginable, is to have his image join the other notable figures on Mt. Rushmore. It is high time we updated the monument, and President George W. Bush is the man we must bestow this honor upon.

Not at all frankie. I have two browsers up.

They are debating liked civilized people over there now that you and grim are gone. And it's always been slow there on the weekend.

Besides, if it hadn't been for me telling grim about this place, you and grim would be picking each other's noses after getting banned instead of providing these good people with such reliable comic relief.

You both still would have been banned, you just wouldn't have had any place to go.

And I've been here longer than either of you Cupcake. I'm not stalking you. Only you and grim do weird things like that.

You are a self centered bitch.

You banned frank for posting this:

If anyone is looking for Grim.....

Say what you want about Jim , but he was fair, he always backed up what he said ,I've never seen him personally attack another poster without provocation and I think what LadyMod did today stinks!!!

She and her butt-boy Crusty ,time and time again, gang up and bait him into attacking her so she turn around and use any miniscule reason to ban him and this time she claims the "owners" directed her to do it !!!!

That is low

I know there are many of you here that , even though you disagreed with him you still seemed to like to debate him on the issues, there are several liberals here who have already expressed disappointment that he was unfairly banned and that they will miss him

He and a few other posters are over at
http://www.dcjunkies.com/index.php

Its a really good forum....no crybaby moderators

Its probably going to get pretty quiet around here

Then you deleted the post.

You are a chicken shit, self centered bitch that protects racists and bans those who oppose racism.

Why don't you do us all a favor and asphyxiate yourself with the lining of Frankie's rectum?

You continually attack her whenever she doesn't kowtow to your belief system. She has a mind of her own and demonstrates on a regular basis that she can run intellectual circles aorund you and your obsequious lapdog Frankie. The fact that she's an independent woman with a mind of her own most likely drives you insane. Especially when she reveals how obvious your cognitive dissonance has taken over any rationale you may have once possessed...(at birth)....

I wouldn't want to see anyone banned, unless they were repeatedly just posting to harrass people.

On another board (for webmasters of "Adult" sites) politics got so bad after the 2004 election that a couple liberal members were calling for the boycott of doing business with the conservative members and called for them all to be banned from the board. It got so childish that it seemed like a civil war, with constant flaming insults. The board owner (who was conservative) spoke up and gave everybody a piece of his mind; previously not wanting to get involved. The exreme leftists left the board in a huff; and after a few months I realized I was the only conservative who didn't leave out of disgust. Although one guy who was banned, for just posting to piss people off, kept coming back with a different ID.

I think this board is far more balanced and mature.

BTW, on the initial topic .....

....... I think it was rather stupid to try and arrest Bush - secret service and all. And if it was done knowing they'd fail, just for publicity, this is the first I ever heard of it. So it didn't have much impact.

Long standing personal disputes tend to indicate that your focus is not [no longer?] on the issues of the day.

It clouds your credibility.

It reduces the proportion of relevant dialogue.

There are important issues which they distract from.

I was thinking the same thing. The guy is surrounded all the time, just when was some single citizen supposed to be able to "arrest" him much less a large group of them?

Me thinks this story is a great big fantasy someone dreamed up and presented as truth.

This story reminds me of those videos the media uses of Saddam walking around on the streets mingling and shaking hands with fawning pedestrians. It's good to know that if The Flying Monkey ever tried that, he'd be subject to being abducted and brought to justice. Clearly, there's still a few real Americans left.

Ladymod...did you open the link and read it...??? Did you do a search..???
Do you simply hold a wet finger up into the air and make your declaration.

Its pretty hard to fabricate, not only one thousand singly directed souls, but 12 individually grouped souls in excess of those one thousand, each with separate and distinct agendas all related to protesting butch and his crew.

Just as a test...how does your finger-meter respond to the state of Vermont secceeding from the union currently? Nonsense? some sort of fantasy? Well, do a search and check it out...you might be surprised.

Stefan

Stefan,

There was a march: http://nyc.indymedia.org/en/2007/09/91300.html
Includes lots of pictures of the event.

Led by a coalition of groups, about 1000-1500 people protested Bush at the UN as world leaders filed by on First Avenue (the ex President of Mexico Vicente Fox stopped by to chat. The current Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel did not).

Speakers included representatives from World Can't Wait, Code Pink, and from several of the NYC area colleges and universities and would have gone on except that the permit was pulled early. 15 people were arrested, most as part of a planned civil disobedience. Several, however were pulled out at random.

About 500 people, mostly high school and college students, then proceded to march from the UN to Washington Square Park. Except for one arrest near the end near the Washington Square Gate, the police didn't interfere with the march. There was, however, quite possibly the heaviest police videotaping of an anti-war march I've personally seen since the RNC demonstrations, odd considering that the march was mostly made up of high-school kids.

NOT a word about any citizens trying to arrest Bush as the title of the thread implies. And there are always citizens being arrested at these things. It goes with the territory.

What is a fantasy was that anyone actually got close enough to the president to do a citizen's arrest. That has NO validation.

So yes, I read your story at the link, then found the truth.

Happy now?

About Vermont, they might try to seceed (http://www.csmonitor.com/2005/1108/p01s04-uspo.html)but like Texas, it will never happen. The "Public" would never allow it. But good for them if they manage it. I just don't see it happening.

Wanna take bets though? I can always use the money.

It is a symbolic gesture at this point.

Public, social opinions are a funny/subtle thing.

When you see your opinion/view being expressed it lets you know you are not totally alone & isolated in your thinking.

Bush should be buried like the stinking piece of cat crap he is.

What an embarrassment to all decent, thinking patriotic Americans.

Seeing this criminal protected by the mechanisms of the state is like seeing rigormortis set in on the American body politic. It is dead. Perhaps it was already headed to calamity, but the neocons were the last nail in the coffin, the final infectious assault. What is really sad is seeing the whole center of gravity of the congress fall into the neocon rat trap. Villifying Iran instead of stepping back & seeing our own atrocity of Iraq.

Starting a 3rd war before the 2nd is cold, having started the 2nd when the 1st wasn't resolved, at all.

America is insane.

Our leaders are insane.

I am not holding my breath for the slow adjustment & realization of the American public to pull it back from the brink.

Evil seems to be much quicker than the public good can handle.
& im not even sure the american public can blanketly called 'good' any longer.

America should be disbanded. It is now too distant from most of its people & is an unrelenting source of evil & corruption. It harms its own people instead of helping them or at least being neutral.

America the Evil.

The American Empire of Evil.

I dont see any reason why they couldnt secede - heck they ran their own republic in that state when they split off from Conn etc - before they ever joined the US - and seemed to be pretty sucessful. They certainly have always been way ahead of the rest of the country since they began. And it would definitely be good to see the ripple effect it would have when the US tried to stop it.

There is nothing preventing them from doing it accept the sheeple people who also live there.

One has to get past the sheeple to make changes. I know the movement to do so even exists here in Texas. I know some of those who are officers in the "Republic" of Texas government that have been working for years to move things that way. The one thing they have that I'm not sure any other state has is written admission that the "State of Texas" government is the interloper, not the lawful governing agency in Texas.

And yet, the movement is not strong enough to really move anywhere. Though they do shake up some of the city entities and that's always amusing.

Ladymod...You can correctly state that the Vermont secession is just talk...although they comprise 13% of the polled population of Vt. (up 8% from last year)...and discontent with usa is much more widely spread thoughout the state.

I believe the statehouse business of possible secession is actually my mis remembered ongoing fight involving Killington Vt and New Hampshire.it is as boundary thing which might involve Killington becoming NH instead of its present status of Vt.

Regardless of that...Vt citizen patriots are pushing for secesion...to what Linkster noted as the 20 or so years (ending in 1791 ) of the Republic of Vermont, and extricating itself from a low rent sinking ship.

I believe my statement is still viable, but not so shashing as I had "remembered".

Well - actually there is the 14th amendment to the Constitution that would prevent it - although getting any supreme court to act on it would be impossible - and in the meantime, the federal government would have the power to take over the state government
