There's no substiture for the ignore button. It severely shrinks the pages, and it makes following the threads easier....provided nobody quotes the offending party.

I don't post in many threads due to high volume of crap posted in the only two threads I ever posted. Mint, you suggested I start a second thread because of all the crap in the first one, so if I hear another negative peep out of you, I'm going to post your PM in public.

I'll clarify:
anyone can certainly hijack a thread, some boards have a "Challenge section"
I think PG did (does), and RV did.

This is where you can go one-on-one with another, the MODS usually say "please take it to challenge", or the parties interested can start one.

This board doesn't have a "challenge" section, but there is no reason the parties cannot simply start their own.

Free speech (as you said especially political) is absolute, but in the interest of delving into an issue, it would be better for those who want to go off topic, to start another thread rather the hijacking the main title.
