Hey - if theyre gonna make the rest of us carry a special ID (which this congress will be passing shortly) why would the Muslims get an exemption - doesnt make any sense.

(In my best Sergeant Schultz voice - "Papers Please")

What? :disbelief:

Passports, driver's licenses and school ID cards aren't enough "ID's" to have?

The next thing you know they will be implanting micro chips at birth or making us get tatoos.

The Neocons will love it, those sheeple will be the first ones in line to take the "mark of the beast".

Actually it was signed into law 2 years ago but they have postponed implementation till 2009 - it basically set requirements on states issuing DL,IDs etc as to what had to be included on the ID and establishes a national database linked to all of the states ID databases.
Some states have already passed laws against enacting it in their states (Me comes to mind) - we will have to see how it pans out when the government actually tries to enforce it

All the NeoTraitors should have their IDs 'specially marked' so cops will know to observe them carefully as pre-confirmed criminals.

Ready to cuff, jail & torture them.

Now that's an Idea I could actually support. ;)

Could we make them get tatoos on their foreheads too so the rest of us can see them coming from a distance and be able to cross the street in time?

:D

Let's see, they monitor our DL's, our SS's, our telephone's and email. Hell, they even put GPS's into new vehicles and prey on our fears to accept that intrusion and monitoring as needed.

I'm thinkin' if "Big Brother" can't manage to be all they can be with this much intrusion into our private lives, coming up with more ID's isn't going to make them more effective. Just more irritating.

When did Americans lose their backbones and start believing that living in the "Land of the Monitored" equaled living in the "Land of the Free"?

Geez!

Loss of freedom in the name of safety and comfort is what democracy is all about. It's what the people want.

Anyway this is the garbage you guys tell me.

kres - I believe that comes from a very old quote from Benjamin Franklin:
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety
And definitely still holds - I tend to isolate myself the best I can to prevent that loss of liberty

Marlboro - doesnt make you that old - I remember when you didnt have to have a SS # :lmao2:

The video is supposed to be humor.

Yes, you can find americans everywhere that will say yes to every kind of insane kind of thing.

And as we know, there are plenty of americans mean as junkyard dogs.

But, unless muslim militants manage to pull off a spectacularly successful mass attack, neither muslim IDs or armbands, nor pork spray, are going to happen.

We haven't fallen that far yet.
