View Full Version : 10 Steps to Fascism on BoingBoing
Naomi Wolf was on The Colbert Report last night talking about her book, The End of America, A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, which outlines ten steps that "fascist, totalitarian, and other repressive leaders [employ to] seize and maintain power, especially in what were once democracies.”
1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy
2. Create a gulag
3. Develop a thug caste
4. Set up an internal surveillance system
5. Harass citizens' groups
6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release
7. Target key individuals
8. Control the press
9. Dissent equals treason
10. Suspend the rule of law

Remember that 70 % of this country is anti-war right now - be very afraid
No my friend, this is not a time for fear. It is time to act.

I thought the real conservative held protecting the United States Constitution as priority one. Not in crack head bush’s America it is a bunch of mindless parrots tossing out the word liberal as a pejorative, then thinking they understand what is really going on. Well guess what you sure aren’t a F$KKKING conservative they would not want your dumb asses either.

The political ideology divide has been besmirched by the likes of the right wing flame throwers you know the usual suspect rush & co. It seems that many of the individuals that claim to be “ republican conservative” are no more then a bunch of empty headed people that cling to the right wing flame throwers “talk show act” and can not explain their own political foundation let alone their own convictions. What ever political faction Crack head bush represents a conservative republican would have nothing to do with it. No rational American can support the lunatic in the white house any longer I think any one that continues to support the lunatic is an indication they are not very political savvy. I would say politically I fall amid a narrow area, amid conservative and anarchist. Meaning I am a very strict constitutionalist and when any body attempts to F$KKK with the constitution it brings out the anarchists.
All these devisee issues are addressed in the constitution under Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness along with our privacy. I think that address pretty much all the main issues with in the United States. In the constitution there is no religious test that address the rest of the issues.
