Check out this video, then tell me your opinion:

Did the cop use excessive force, or did this woman really deserve to be tased over, and over, ...and over? Hell, she even stumbled and hit her head all up against the SUV, and the cop was right there behind her, tasing her ass again, and again, because she was disorientated from all the other tasings he had given her, and didn't follow his demands quick enough.
She even begged him to stop, but his fat ass just kept on tasing her.
So, did she deserve to be tased repeatedly? Should the cop be fired for excessive force and abuse, or do you think he was just doing his job? Should taser guns be banned for cop use? If you were this woman, what would you do after this happened to you? :disbelief: :o

to answer your threads question - no tasers shouldnt be banned - there are some cops that are just bad - and if they didnt have the taser they would just use their nightsticks like they used to and end up causing even more injury - unfortunately most cops arent taught that the taser is a lethal weapon so they think they can just play with it - but as we all know there have been many deaths from using those - of course there have been many from using nightsticks as well
DON'T TASE ME BRO!
It's silly to say tasers shouldn't be allowed.
This is a matter of police training and public policy, not an issue of weaponry.
I think everybody should have a taser.

Thanks Poloticz. Having worked on a couple-3 of the more than 120 wrongful death lawsuits filed against Taser International, I don't need the video thanks.
Not sure which is more appalling, that we haven't won one yet or in my first exposure to product liability issues I learned that it is Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the cops, yes your local police agencies, to go to the company and hire the company to run tests on the evidence to prove or disprove the company is liable. OF course the company's are all too wiling to performthis service and benefit from free discovery and disguise same as some good corporate citizen performin a patriotic duty. This isn't just SOP with regard to Taser but is SOP in all wrongful death or serious injury investigations involving product liability.
Ever seen a company's execs and/or engineers charged with criminal negligence in a wrongful death involving product liability?

They're definitely more humane than the battery cables and diesel generator that Bush hooks the poor devils at Gitmo up to.

they are better than rogue cops using bullets, but wow do they need some f-ing training.
NOW keep in mind companies are starting to sell personalized tasers for the populace at large . . . .
definitely a subject we have not seen the end of.
Also another note: Police corps around the country are suffering real difficulty finding new recruits, . . . many are understaffed to begin with & forced to reduce requirements & overlook drug possession & other former small infractions of applicants.
This is reality, nothing is ever easy or uncomplicated.
