Hurricane Earl is supposed to be here within a couple of hours. It will probably only be a tropical storm by then.

Haven't been in a hurricane since Bob and Gloria.
Supermarkets were packed today.

I heard it lost a lot of strength. It'll probably be like a regular thunderstorm. I'll be glad when September is over. That's usually the worst month for them.

Always the threats. The only advantage here is that it is rare that we have any real extreme weather.

By extreme, I mean blizzards, hurricanes, tornadoes. We had a few blizzards but not really that many. I remember two hurricanes in my lifetime, I am 51.
Never had a tornado come through here in my lifetime.
