Well done Grasshopper. :)

Now, why would moderate Westernized Muslims want to promote extremism here in the US?

So what do you think will be the outcome.......... ??

He will have some evidence or just not post again for several days??

I could be wrong here but I am guessing the bush "crusade" has killed far, far more Muslims & perhaps more than anyone since Tamerlane & some of the earlier Mongol invasions........

Pretty disgusting & shameful stat.............

Good Muslims(the majority) need to do more to distance themselves from the extremists. I think a lot of people just combine them because of attacks they have seen or heard of and videos of beheadings and anti-USA ramblings.

I've grown up around Muslims(they even go to a mosque and pray!!!!!) and they are great people and I'm happy to say they are my friends. They need a stronger voice on tv shows and radio and through print that attacks the extremists and terrorists and seperates the good from the bad.

I know there are some out there that do this but there needs to be more. Right now it's far too easy to lump them together and discriminate because of a tragic attack 9 years ago. We shouldn't be punishing or attacking our fine American Muslims.

If you go by The Lancet Journal, the number of Iraqis killed by the US military are about ten times higher than the publicly accepted numbers, but if you go by the US military's own numbers, al-Qaeda has killed more Muslims than the US. :dunno:

Lou,

I don't think we have as much of a problem with the GOOD Muslems distancing themselves from the radicals of their faith as we do disconnecting the average Chrisitan from the radicals of their faith.

The problem in this country isn't the average Muslem's connection with extremists of their faith. Our problem is the truly stupid buying into all the BS put out by the extremists of the Christian faith. Our problem is the fact that we have the Hanniti's, the Beck's and the Limbaugh's telling people things about the Muslems and the President that do not have a shred of truth to them, but as long as they wave around that Bible while they are saying it, those to the right will ALWAYS rally and will not bother to find out if they are rallying around the truth or a LIE.

I can't really fault Beck. He has admitted that he does not check to see if what he is saying is true because he is a TV Personality and not a "reporter". The serious problem in this country is those on the right do not seem to realize this and see these people on the same level as Walter Cronkite and believe every word they say.

Sometimes I think it is a conspiracy by MSM corps against the American people. Yeah, why don't they call on more attention on what FOX News is OBVIOUSLY doing? Rupert Murdock, News Corp founder, just donated 1 million to Republican governors, but, do you see anyone asking or reporting anything about it? They went public, it is no longer a secret, FOX News is an arm of the GOP.

If you really do know many Muslims than you also know there is a problem here.......... Especially if they are from one of the effected Nations.....

Perhaps it is one of perception, but perception is very important......

In order not to be seen as terrorist or terrorist sympathizers they must be as rabid or perhaps more so in their blind American nationalism & hate for anyone that opposes her......

As you can see by the comments on this board many do not give "Muslims" any leeway, they can not have the diversity of opinions that other Americans can..... Support USA (right or wrong) or your a terrorist......

They do not have the option to say bush & Obama are wrong, attacking all those countries & killing all those ppl is wrong.... To agree makes you suspect to disagree makes you an enemy........

It is really no use even trying to explain the complexities & realities to most of these folks spoon feed on 20 second sound bits...........
