Actually caught this the other night and had been looking for the quote Hagel said when asked by Maher:
Isn’t it a dirty trick on the American people when you send a military man out there to basically do a political sell-job

Hagels reponse:
It’s not only a dirty trick, but it’s dishonest, it’s hypocritical, it’s dangerous and irresponsible. The fact is this is not Petraeus’ policy, it’s the Bush’s policy. The military is — certainly very clear in the Constitution — is subservient to the elected public officials of this country.. but to put our military in a position that this administration has put them in is just wrong, and it’s dangerous

Hagel is gonna be missed.

A TRUE patriot who cares about his nation.

All these war mongers care about is their egos.
the whole rhetoric is about pride & ego rather than logical concerns of the US.

'Cut & Run', 'Win' are the bywords

rather than 'goals', 'reason' & 'viable strategy'

The neoconmen play up melodramatic phantoms of Al Qaeda & how we are going to 'win' so everyone can feel good, glorious & secure,

well, NEWSFLASH, people felt good, & secure before 911 happened,

feeling good does NOT make you secure.

AND foolish, thoughtless actions make you LESS secure as a person & as a nation.

They aren't even tilting at windmills, they are boxing with shadows & imagining they can get a knockout.

The NeoConmen appeal to childish egotism of immature people,
rather than displaying raw, powerful, plastic comprehension of reality.
