"Report: Israel spots nuclear installations in Syria

Washington official says Israeli surveillance shows possible Syrian nuclear installation stocked by North Korea, Israeli Arab newspaper claims target of alleged raid last week was Syrian missile base financed by Iran

Israel believes that North Korea has been supplying Syria and Iran with nuclear materials, a Washington defense official told the New York Times. “The Israelis think North Korea is selling to Iran and Syria what little they have left,” he said.

Damascus warns that international community's silence on Israel's violation of Syrian airspace will have tragic consequences

The official added that recent Israeli reconnaissance flights over Syria revealed possible nuclear installations that Israeli officials estimate might have been supplied with material from North Korea.

Meanwhile on Wednesday the Nazareth-based Israeli Arab newspaper The Assennara cited anonymous Israeli sources as saying that Israeli jets "bombed a Syrian-Iranian missile base in northern Syria that was financed by Iran... It appears that the base was completely destroyed."

Israelis ‘blew apart Syrian nuclear cache’

It's an obvious result of Iran's plan to deploy Sahab-3 missiles within range of Europe, in Syria and Sudan. What good is it the be able to threaten Europe, if your missiles aren't armed with nukes?

I think most people are unaware of the North Korean, Iranian, Syrian military cooperation and technology transfer agreements.

Most people have common sense and dont listen to propaganda - especially coming from Israeli run media - kinda what led up to the Iraqi invasion on "false intel" - they started with the same type of planted stories

I've been following Iran's cooperation with North Korea, Syria, Sudan, Hezbollah, Hamas and the Shiites and Sunnis in Iraq for the past three years. This is only a logical progression. Iran wants the region.

Both sides are keeping pretty quiet on this one.

Could you share some insight into the actual cooperation please? I would be interested in it if you have a background in what has actually been going on - I tend to disregard the media as I know who really runs those - and most of my sources are completely baffled by all of this as the CIA group that tracks this stuff (V Plames old outfit) doesnt seem to know about it

I would also really be surprised if you could offer up some proof of the Sunni cooperation with Iran? Would definitely dispel some intellgence that is floating around out there
