After a meeting with Bush to try to figure out the "strategy" Pelosi emerged saying basically that we are committed to 10 more years of war in Bush's mind

Double that, and it's about right.

We'll have to fortify the oil infrastructure and guard it continuously, and keep large bases staffed with quick reaction forces, as well as providing a police force for the major cities, untill the cream of that light sweet crude virgin field has been pumped.

Unless we are there, there's simply no reason for the government to honor the oil laws and keep the oil privatized, when it's much more to Iraq's interest to keep the profits to itself.
