I am not sure on the US driving laws but in the UK once you have a driving license you can drive any car. It is different with a motorcycle license as you have to work your way up to get a more powerfull bike license so you cant just do your test and jump on a 750cc where as you can pass your driving test and jump straight into a sports car.

I know this is something that people never think about but shouldnt governments put laws in place which make it so that you have to sit new tests each time you want to get a more powerfull car? Cars kills thousands each day on the roads, maybe if people drove cars they were trained to drive the death toll could be radically cut.

I thought of this after watching that moron Hulk Hogans son bragging about the amount of tickets he had got in his car over the period of a year and now his mate is in intensive car.

The leading cause of death among 16 to 25 year olds in America is auto accidents. An estimated 80% of those involve people doing other things such as using a cell phone or eating.

If our government wanted to save lives then they would simply out law the use of cell phones while driving. In 1 year more American lives would be saved then have died in all terror attacks in the history of our country.

Of course there's no real money in doing that so it will never happen

There are so many 'small' things the government could do to safe lives. Gas sensors in houses for example. I have a carbon monoxide alarm in my house so if the heating screws up my life doesnt. Gas leaks kill loads of families each year. If the government made it so that they profited from issuing drivers licenses and the tests etc they could buy everyone in the country so is below the poverty line a carbon monoxide alarm.

Two birds one driving test!
