SEARCHLIGHT -- Sarah Palin told thousands of tea party activists gathered in the Nevada desert that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will have to explain his votes when he comes back to his hometown.
The wind whipped U.S. and Alabama flags behind Palin as she stood on the makeshift stage, holding a microphone and her notes as she spoke to the crowd.
Palin says the big government, big debt spending spree of Reid, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is over, and "you're fired." She told the crowd that Reid is "gambling away our future."
"Someone needs to tell him, this is not a crapshoot," Palin said.
She says those protesting the health care overhaul aren't inciting violence, but says they shouldn't sit down and shut up.
Palin was the main attraction at the rally about 60 miles south of Las Vegas. It kicks off a 42-city bus tour that ends in Washington on April 15.

Great for Palin.
Non issue for Reid.
None of these roving teabaggers vote in Nevada.

The Organizers' cash must be drying up: They provided only 38 Port-a-Pots for 8000 (they expected 10,000) people.
I doubt the Organizers give a hoot about where the attendees are from...as long as they donate generously to the GOP.

The Tea Party members and supporters upset the liberals almost as much as Sarah Pailn does which is why they have to use derogatory terms to describe them.
Unfortunately they will never admit that Obama is destroying America and they were complicate in it.

Searchlight is a very very small place.
I have been there many times and I have no idea where 8000 people could congragate.
I am sure it has to do with the fact that it is so far away from everything and hard to get things there. They have to go with what is there already.

I have seen more people at a family reunion.
Poor little minority right wing extremists I hope they
at least had some good barbeque because that meeting accomplished nothing except maybe raise more money for republican scammers to use on plane flights to Hawaii.

Actually, Politico estimated there were around 20,000 there, and every other estimate I've seen says more than 10,000 attended.
Oops, I mean all but one. CNN said in there report there were "hundreds" there. That's the lamestream media for you.

SEARCHLIGHT, Nev. – Sarah Palin told thousands of tea party activists assembled in the dusty Nevada desert Saturday that Sen. Harry Reid will have to explain his votes when he comes back to his hometown to campaign.
The wind whipped U.S. flags behind the former Alaska governor as she stood on a makeshift stage, holding a microphone and her notes and speaking to a cheering crowd. She told them Reid, fighting for re-election, is "gambling away our future."
"Someone needs to tell him, this is not a crapshoot," Palin said.
About 7,000 people streamed into tiny Searchlight, a former mining town 60 miles south of Las Vegas, bringing American flags, "Don't Tread on Me" signs and outspoken anger toward Reid, President Barack Obama and the health care overhaul.

MSNBC has the tally at 9,000
At least 9,000 people streamed into tiny Searchlight, a former mining town 60 miles south of Las Vegas, bringing American flags, "Don't Tread on Me" signs and outspoken anger toward Reid, President Barack Obama and the health care overhaul.

ABC NEWS has the total at 10,000....so much for your lamestream media comment:
The event was advertised as a conservative Woodstock, a political be-in for the talk radio crowd.
As many as 10,000 people packed up their coolers, hoisted their "Don't Tread on Me" flags and hoofed it down the highway to gather in the desert for Palin.

Can't stand that the gop is hyjacking the movement I think?
Hope those there are too smart for Palins no answer answers and same old mud slinging rheroic.
I want to hear how a leader can dismantle and take on washingtons dung machine piece by piece not I will lower taxes and shrink government.
