Americans are fed up with both Democrats and Republicans and Hillary Clinton is neither --she is a straddler.

Rest assured, she will be the next President. I have taken a poll and consulted with the best presidential historians in America and they all predict a Hillary Clinton Landslide.

The former, Goldwater Republican has come a long way indeed !

She will be, without doubt, the next President of the United States. Only question is, who's the Vice?

It certainly looks like Hillary will be the next President and I don't think that's a good thing. While I think she's intelligent and has some good ideas she's a deep Washington insider and that's never good.

Giuliani will fail at the end. He's a great leader and could probably be a good President but with his past how can the religious right vote for him? You can't even humorously speak about the man as a Christian. I also think there's a lot of dirt under his rug. Also a lot of what he takes credit for in NY was actually done before he arrived. His campaign would have to be on fear and hate and that just won't fly again.

Thompson won't get the republican nod. If he does all the dems really have to do is educate the public (I know that might be impossible) about his lobbying efforts and he should fail. He's waiting as long as he can to avoid the microscope but what he did in TN won't work in a Presidential election.

I think it's going to be Hillary.

She's not going to be nearly as bad as Fox News thinks she's going to be but she's not going to be great either.

I do think she'll get rid of these damn liberal spending and regulation policies of our current administration and that is badly needed after 8 years of such liberal abuse.

To answer your question, I think it will be Edwards but I'd rather see Obama.

A hillary presidency could massively suck. All the worst features of a republican presidency, nothing to look forward too except possibly a less corrupted supreme court.

But she won't get a penny from me - of that I can be certain.

Nor will the democratic party, if she is picked in the primaries.

She's a corporatist, bought and paid for. Even tho I'll have to vote for her if she is the candidate, I won't do so happily.

Hillary won't win. She's to polarizing.

Obama might, if he gets the nomination.

Edwards will never make it. He's been reduced to a sniveling child who sends his mommy out to fight for him. In his case though, his "mommy" is his wife.

In any event, the Democrat candidates need to start running on something other then Bush. Guess what guys, Bush is out. He isn't on the ticket! For that matter, none of his cabinet nor his Vice President are on the ticket either!

You want a chance at winning, you need to start telling us what you want to do that is different and why you think it will win. Stop with the "everything Bush is doing is evil, wrong and meant to build up his own hegemony" crud and give us your game plans!

How are you going to fix social security?
How are you going to find Ossama?
How are you going to stabilize the Shi'ite government of Iraq?
How are you going to stop the war between Pakistan and Iran?
How are you going to stop Hezbollah?
How are you going to maintain the economic growth and/or make it better?
How are you going to put a lexus in everyone's driveway?
How are you going to stop the poison coming in from China on a routine basis?
How are you going to clean up the local environment (not the stupid global warming crud, I want to know about Lake Michigan, the rivers, the parks, etc)

I don't hear any of that from the Democrats. Havn't heard any of that for 7 years now, ever since Bush won in 2000.

Ahhhhh, republicans and their fantasies of 2008.

It's kinda endearing.

If Jesus came back, and ran as a republican, he couldn't win in 2008.

I've been hoping a republican would win the presidency in 2008 - that way they won't be able to dump the war on the democrats.

But it seems unlikely.

The more Hillary talks the more I'm convinced that she has taken more sides of every issue than John Kerry. I think it will catch up with her and I don't see her winning the nomination because of it.

In some ways I see that her getting the nomination is inevitable but I really am starting to think the double talk will catch up with her. If not in the primaries than definitely in the general election.

So far I dont see any candidates that stand out from either side - I am kinda watching for Gore to enter the race - but unfortunately too many people are going to tie him to global warming and make that an issue when its not something that needs to be in the current election talking points.

Jennifer - you sure set high standards for someone running for office - I hope for the US's sake that none of them promise any of those items - they certainly arent issues that any one president could accomplish and anyone promising it would be a liar in my book

While I think most people that vote for Washington insiders (Bush H, Dubya and Hillary) usually don't understand how the city works few people had so many ties to corruption as the Bush family.

I don't think Hillary will make a great President but she probably will bring back conservative spending and may find ways to fuel the economy without borrowing money.

Moby - definitely a fact about living in DC - if I remember correctly you lived there for a while and I was raised there - its really a completely different environment than the rest of the US - most people that move there (not just going touristing) are amazed

How in the world can you justify a claim that the Bush family has less scandals then the Clinton family!

The Clintons, for three elections now, have received illegal contributions; they've sold classified secrets to the Communist Chinese, they've helped bilk the life savings from countless senior citizens, they've pulled FBI files on the enemies, illegally mind you, they've sent in their croonies to remove protected documents from the archives and destroy them, they've condoned and propagated the rape and threatened rape of women, they've single handedly set back the progress on reduction of unwed, teenage pregnancies and propagated the spread of Venerial Diseases by saying that Oral Sex is not sex (thus all these girls are having oral sex with the justification that it's okay, they're only told not to have sex) and let's not forget about the perjury!

What has Bush done? He's acted on intelligence in good faith. He's worked with the Democrats to pass almost everything they've wanted passed since he's been in office. He's failed to unify the Republicans into a leadership role resulting in their loss of power. He's established laws that have prevented further terrorism to take place on US Soil. He's given a very modest, almost inconsequential tax cut to the middle class (aka the working man). He passed the No Child Left Behind act that the Democrats wanted but couldnt pass under the Gingrich/DeLay leadership. He's attempted to pass another amnesty for illegals (another hot button topic democrats want.) He is the first President to fund stem cell research.

Please, what scandals has he done? I mean other then being a democrat in republican clothing who actually has a back bone to defend America against foreign terrorists?

You tell'em like it is Jennifer, that "FORTUNATE SON" in the white house needed private investigators to remind him what he did in the 70's, and if I tell you, it will shock anybody.

What's the point, it always gets censored by the gutless media.
