Anyway, I've already put up half a dozen posts. My normal forum gave up and closed down, guess the arguments were too good from one side of the aisle and the other side just gave up.

Little about me.

I am a US Army Veteran, served in Iraq, injured in Iraq. Released just recently (April 2006.)

I am currently serving with an emergency certification as a Math Instructor teaching Algebra and Pre-Calculus, while I work on my Master's in Mathematics and a second Bachelor's in Education.

I have two crumb-crunchers (Children.) Both boys, both wonderful and both a handful.

Anyway, I was born in Kiev, Russia (current Ukraine, but back then, it was part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics or what you called Communist Russia.) and that forms the basis for much of my political opinion. Communist/Socialist Bad, Government Evil, Private citizens generally good, Family most important thing on the planet, etc.

Generally speaking, I am:

For the second amendment (for them all, actually)

Anti- Murdering unique DNA clusters at any age

Anti- Federal government especially, and state governments to a lesser
extent. (Honestly, they don't do anything that village governments couldnt do better and cheaper, IMHO.)

For gun control - within reason

Anti- Death Penalty (this is a corollary to murdering unique DNA clusters of any age)

Anti- Doctors

Pro- Nurses (they know it better then most doctors anyway, in my experience)

Pro- Kittens and Puppies and Babies

Anti- Paid government officials (to include bribes and kick backs from corporations)

And in my final thought, anyone who doesn't agree with me is a baby killing, puppy kicking, kitten flinging idiot. :P Just kidding! Feel free to disagree with me. I may not always be correct, but I am always RIGHT!

Personally, I'm anti puppy. Can't stand em. I believe we should deport all puppies.

Pro gun, anti puppy.

Welcome and its good to see a growing diversity here - ranging in ideas and backgrounds - makes for interesting discussions

As far as political idealism - most of us here may sound liberal or conservative, but I think if you look underneath, they are all just humans with different views - unfortunately a lot of places these days try to fight out these values thinking that one side is better than the other (a fallout of recent political upheaval and mass media hype) but all are individuals and have made their own decisions based on sound reasoning - although occasionally you will see one or two who base their opinions on what they hear being shouted the loudest on the airwaves :)

You will also note that 3 or 4 of us may try to play devils advocate occasionally as we like the discourse that can follow :lmao2:

As you know, I'm pro privatized puppy prisons.

And I believe America's corporations are uniquely qualified to receive no-bid contracts to handle the puppy problem, permanently.

With a War on Puppies we can put an end to puppies... before puppies put an end to the children!
