Oh boy, I think Cheney's gonna do it!

"U.S. soldiers arrested members of an Iranian government delegation Tuesday at a hotel in Baghdad and took them to an unidentified location, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported.

The Iranians, who work for Tehran's power ministry, were in the capital at the invitation of Iraqi government officials to sign an electricity supply contract, the news agency said."

Add this to that crazy talk about Nuclear Holocaust ....

"?Iran's actions threaten the security of nations everywhere," Bush said Tuesday before an audience at the American Legion's national convention. "And that is why the United States is rallying friends and allies around the world to isolate the regime, to impose economic sanctions. We will confront this danger before it is too late."

Bush stressed that Iran's "active pursuit of technology that could lead to nuclear weapons, threatens to put a region already known for instability and violence under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust."

"I have authorized our military commanders in Iraq to confront Tehran's murderous activities," said Bush, whose administration has accused Iran of arming Shiite militias in Iraq. "The Iranian regime must halt these actions.""

Politically, this would be the best time to start a shooting war. It's gonna be a show. Stock up on some canned goods.

I don't think the neocon plan has ever been to win in Iraq or to conquer Iran. I believe it's all about gaining power which requires huge amounts of money. More money then the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. How can they get more money? Start more chaos and raise the price of oil even further.

Remember that Halliburton, Bechtel and other leading supporters of the administration make a bunch of money off of war. Other supporters make huge amounts of money from high oil prices.

The American Enterprise Institute thought that Iraq would be a 6 month campaign at the most. These people are still supplying white papers to the administration.

Yes, they are smart enough to do this. Yes, the American people are stupid enough to allow it to happen.

Sure it will kick off a war that will be unlike any in history but with that comes fear and with fear comes control and with control comes power and money. When you read the history of the Bush family it seems like the only logical step for this administration. Very predictable :)
