Is it just because once implemented the people will see how good it is and never want to go back hence the back handers to the senators will stop or is it just because it is the Democrats who are trying to get it through actually is it both?

I think the question is why are there some democrats who will not vote on the bill? It's not republicans holding this up.
Or the question may be,
Why do the people not want UHC?
Another troll fails.

Other than the fact that this isn't a UHC bill, as to this bill if the Republican's weren't holding along party lines then dissent amongst the Dems wouldn't matter.
I don't like this bill, but hope it might lead to UHC in the future. But I way more respect those Dems holding up this bill than the Republicans because there is that possiblity that they are doing so do to conviction as opposed to partyism. Any Republican doing the same is buried in the obvious partisanship being demonstrated by their fellow party members.

The people poll that they do want UHC, they just don't want this bill which isn't (as you and I keep pointing out) UHC.
That they are polling almost split with the anti-bill people only slightly leading doesn't really equate to a mandate either way.

ok dumb question but who owns the hospitals in America? If you were to create a proper UHC you would have to buy them all if they are not state owned.

That is neither here nor there, as it relates to the thread.
Perhaps Krome should stick to England's politics.

No you don't. Many hospitals are predominantly Medicare/Medicaid now. Just like the health-care professionals wouldn't be in the employ of the government any more than a defense contractor employee is, hospitals won't be anymore the property of the government than any other private contracting business or person that does business with the government.

Would you be upset if republicans bought them?
What if republicans bought them in order to create an improper UHC? :taunt:
Off topic, Krome, but are you up late or up early?

Then everyone responding needs to do so correctly and say
'Or the question may be,
Why do the people not want this Bill?
Another troll fails.'

Not picking on you, just was an example on top.
Actually, I think you and I are a little tired of correcting the context of all these threads and posts.
In GENERAL I wish folks would get the language right so the debate is germaine.
Christ, if people on a site like this can't get it right what chance do we have that the unwashed huddled masses will or can?
