Arizona Cancels Children’s Insurance Program

And Arizona has become the first state to eliminate its Children’s Health Insurance Program, leaving tens of thousands without coverage. On Thursday, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed a new budget canceling the program, which covered around 47,000 low-income children. The move will coincide with cuts to Medicaid coverage for childless adults, dropping an additional 310,000 people from the rolls. I would be really curious to find out how you receive health care. I am willing to bet, you either have medicare or have healthcare as part of your employment. I would be willing to bet that you don't buy your own.

Arizona canceled the SCHIP program because they didn't have the money to pay for it. Unlike the federal government, states don't have a printing press that allows them to make the money needed to cover their expenses.

By all means Bill, don't take that into account and continue your attacks. It's what I've come to expect from progressives.

Some of those kids will be able to qualify for some other services I would think but most likely not all of them..... So some will get sick & perhaps even die but the budget is balanced & the governor & all the governors staff will be paid along w/ the various other "essential services".......

Kids being sick & being cared for is certainly not essential.......:o
