Bravo to the students! THAT is what free speech is all about, That creator of the fear and smear tactics of the last decade was in northwest Ohio in the Toledo area speaking at a county Republican function about a month back and I had heard rumblings of protests but could not make it there even though I so wanted to tell that war mongering P.O.S. where he could go!

Classic. Like I always say....free speech to a moonbat is when you agree with them.

Harrassment and preventing someone from speaking is not "free speech". Not in the USA. These punks are ignorant and spoiled.

If they dont want him there they have a right to express that feeling just like everyone else...so under your own take on things the protesters that stopped people from discussions and speaking at last summers town halls were harrassing and preventing people from speaking...is that a correct assumption or was that ok because you agreed with their tactics?

I don't agree with anyone who tries to prevent by force someone from speaking at a meeting. I saw a lot of intimidation last summer by union members and politicians. Union thugs do not speak for me. Nancy Pelosi does not speak for me. I don't know who she means when she says "the American people". The American people don't live in her district.

Do you think that there is a difference between the positions held by The President of The United States and an ex-campaign manager that was known for bending the truth?

Your question is biased. Carl Rove has the exact same rights as any American citizen regardless of your personal opinion of him.

In the past when a President attends a meeting citizens could be removed for wearing some T-Shirts. Should this take place when other average citizens attend meetings?

first what "programmers are you talking about? other than occasionally watching Rachael Maddow or catching an hour or so of news from msnbc I dont follow any programmers so dont give me that bunk and secondly I have NO problem at all with people protesting any politician no matter who it is and regardless of what side the politically aline themselves that is what is called freedom of speech and the first amendment which EVERYONE is afforded the right to have....what I do have some issues with is the phony protests just to protest because people are told that say Obama is "socialist" a "marxist "anti american" when there is NO basis in fact to back up these claims. I have MANY issues with the president that I would happily join in a protest on.
What alot of lefties did regarding Bush was wrong and crossed the line MANY times and like I have said many times before I dont condone any of it BUT that does not excuse anyone from the right for doing the same or far worse towards Obama...tit for tat..eye for an eye whatever the fuck you call it two wrongs dont make a right EVER.

So when the previous administration had people removed from speeches they were breaking laws created through the First Amendment?

Great point Moby, like when they would cherrypick who they would let in as to create the "illusion" of a supportive crowd...kept MANY protesters at bay distances away from where Bush spoke and if they did happen to "allow" some in the confisgated any anti bush signs?

Government run national health care is socialism. When you want to make an entitlement for every citizen that is government run, that is socialism. I don't know what you call it. Ask Rachel Maddow. I'm sure she has some kind of spin that you can digest.
When you want to make an entitlement for every citizen that is government run, that is socialism.
At the national level, parks, highways, our power grid and the right to use air waves for wireless communications could all be considered socialism.
At the local level side walks, fire departments, police departments and schools could be considered the same.
Where does the American military fit in to this definition?
Is it time to do away with Interstates now?

You're confused. Those are not entitlements. Those are part of "general welfare". You know....things we need and have always needed.

You're confused Boogie. We didn't always have national parks, highways, police, schools, electricity or wireless communications. As time went on our government developed these things. When The Constitution was not even a concept or national parks, highways system spanning the coasts, electricity or wireless communications. :lmao2:
No wonder you stick with the opinions of others. :banghead:

See this is your problem, you think your definition of general welfare is some how better then anyone elses.
Tell me where in the constitution does it say anything about schools, or electricity, or food inspectors.
You are a hypocrite becuase you want what you want and you justify it with your own definition of general welfare but when its something you personally dont believe in then its against your definition of general welfare.

So when the previous administration had people removed from speeches they were breaking laws created through the First Amendment?
Is there not a topic in which you can argue the merits of the argument without bring up the previous administration?
My question(s) to you is, does Karl Rove have a right to speak at this forum or does he not? Did these students take away his right to free speach? What could he have said that is so damaging to this country that there are those that would prevent him from saying it? Are those on the left and/or there policies so fragile that opposing opinion can cause them harm?
I would be interested to read your opinion on this topic without the need to compare it to Bush. Just so you know, the Bush team removed people wearing objectionable T-Shirts from his speaches. Obama didn't do that, he didn't have too. He will only speak to those that his team actually invites.

I have an agenda. I want our government to follow the Constitution and do what is right for the ENTIRE country, not just the Democrats ever increasing base of the poor and down trodden. If we got back to the Constitution and quit trying to buy votes with hand outs from the treasury, we could fix most of our problems.

I agree. That is why government run national health care needs to be trashed. It is not the job of government to take care of the entire nation's health care. I can understand the aged and handicapped and disabled.
