It would seem an opportune time for the President to address the angry mob and see what they are screaming about. It might make Palin look small and distract from republicans, but hey! It is a public Tea party that all American and Liberals and socialist are invited to as well.
It could also give Boehner a shot at the President, if he is man enough to attend.

Oh yeah, that's just what Obama needs, another speech. I would love to see Obama speak to the tea party. I'd love to see a "town hall" of tea party people with Obama in the center. That would be very interesting. The problem is I don't think Obama can do it. If he doesn't have his telepromter he gets off track and just mumbles on and on.

It had more to do with the Superbowl and the few ground troops in Tennessee. You will have to buy more tea baggers for the next rally, 200 isn't enough. And the 300 media personnel don't count. Geeze, Fox news packed it up and left for dodge city.:lmao2: :lmao2:
Obviously, the RNC party crashers were not who the grassroot Tea Baggers wanted to share cookies with. Not sure what that means to the right, but they always have an explanantion for everything else, what happened here?
Did gas prices keep them away from the $500. dinner? Are they still tapped from the DC run? Did their insurance rates go up, and they finally figured out which side the Democrat butter is on? Maybe Tom T Hall canceled his grand ol opera appearance, and they couldn't get a twofer?:disbelief:

What have you got against Obama talking to dick sucking homosexuals? Are you saying gay people aren't worth talking to?
The bigger question is, why should you care? I thought the left were supposed to be the "tolerant" ones?

If you could find a few hundred of them that have an IQ over 100, it would make sense to let Obama have an open discussion with them.
However, they've already proven their inability to do anything but shout Beck/Hannity slogans, while the speakers at any of these 'meetings' attempt to.....speak.
Let's see who's left standing, after their little reunion this weekend. They might just kill each other off.

This whole thing is really pointless.
The Tea Party Convention is being boycotted by 41 of the 42 Tea Party groups in the state. The true idealists see the hand of "business as usual" trying to co-opt their principles.

He stood in front of the Republican party on live TV. He seemed to have enough intestinal fortitude for that. He was doing so well that I heard Fox News even cut the feed completely instead of allowing viewers to hear the rest of the story.

"Hope and Change"
How's that for a slogan that those with an under 100 IQ can bleat.

Excellent point.
It doesn't take a tea party, to see that the majority of the electorate are fed up w/business as usual.
The only thing that the "party" stands for, is voter imposed term limits.
I believe that, although this is highly destructive....it is time we show these politicians that they ought not get too comfy.
That doesn't negate the fact that the 'partiers' are not at all interested in anything but shouting ridiculous, spoon fed right wing slogans...
As seen by Minty/Pat's posts in this thread.

The moonbats are pretty scared of the tea baggers. The rabid left hates it when American citizens exercise their constitutional rights. Makes them very angry. Opposing views should not have the same constitutional rights in Lib World.

Perhaps, but the question remains....
Where were they when the republicans broke all kinds of spending records?
You can't spend more than you take in.
Perhaps we need to take more in..
Oh...they're against that too.
Has anyone from this group actually explained where these cuts should be made?

I'm sure some of them voted for Obama and the Democrats, to try and reverse things. Only now they realize it's a systemic problem with all of them in D.C.; now that the spending is going through the roof.

I think a lot of young working families voted for Obama without realizing what all his promises were going to cost them. Now they see the cost and they don't like it and they don't like how deals are being made. If Obama wants that glow back he's gonna have to totally abandon his agenda. I don't think he will. He's toast.

Was the Obama/Democrat dust up broadcast at all?
He's a liar. There is no upside to having him speak and draw attention to himself. He is a despot who says one thing and does another. He will claim to be one of them.

Whereas your post is meant to be amusing...
Your problem lies in the fact that you insist on an 'either, or' outlook.
No one party, nor no one system of govt. can address every issue properly.
You refuse to address the flaws in 'your' side's approach to society.
Most of the discussion here is based on bullshit, but you simply cannot seriously defend every policy the right espouses.

As Obama mentioned during his 'discussion' with republicans, a good portion of 'his' spending was an automatic reaction that's built into our system to avoid another depression.
Granted, as you mention....they're all crooks, as seen by the refusal to consider a public option in the healthcare debate.
I still haven't heard any word from these teabaggers, as to what cuts would be made?
They couldn't even agree on whether or not to picket in Detroit a few weeks ago. It seems one organizer was a long time autoworker, and she didn't think it was proper to hold the rally.
Sounds an awful lot like what we've got right now in govt.

What’s fascinating is how the rich and influential have managed to coop the teabaggers and religious right. Three groups with nothing in common, yet millions of them line up to vote against their own interests and to throw their support behind evil people.
You got to hand it to the Republicans for getting hordes of ignorant people to turn on people working for their interests.

How about waste?
Like a $7 million dollar bridge so people don't have to wait for the train crossing - that takes just as long as waiting at the crossing. Which only created two $10 an hour local jobs for two months. Or maybe the "Turtle Crossing" that cost $6 million. Or the millions going to "Corridor H" - West Virginia's Highway to Nowhere.
How many other wasteful pork projects were in Obama's Stimulus bill?
If you're going to spend the money, spend it in ways targeted to being the most cost-effective at stimulating long-term growth.

Paraphrasing...
Bad earmarks, are the ones in other people's districts.
There's plenty of pork on both sides of the aisle.
I'm willing to bet that the majority of teabaggers don't realize that they benefit...no...rely on some of these earmarks.
I'm also willing to bet that you couldn't get them to agree on exactly what constitutes 'waste'.
Regardless, nobody has come out with any specifics, when it comes to wasteful spending.

Who is "nobody"? I just gave you two.
You don't think there's a few hundred billion in waste out there?
Under the current ecomonic situation, it comes down to priorities. And "waste" is everything at the bottom of the list.

How do you know that? Did you attend every demonstration and read all their literature? Or are you only going by what little you see on TV?
Shit, half the Stimulus bill's money is still uncommitted to projects. One of their big issues is lack of transparency on what's in these rush-job bills. And where would their concerns go, when the opposition just calls them Teabaggers, points and laughs.

They have no cohesive group. Just a bunch of fringe groups, that yell and scream.
