Please link me to an example of the right wing being upset, because I can't seem to find any.

"The not-so-good news is that most of the growth came from temporary factors such as inventories and government stimulus which can't be sustained,"

I suspect the 'false' economy is why zero jobs have been created.

I'm not upset by growth. I"m upset because the president told me that we had to spend hundreds of billions to keep unemployment from reaching double digits. What's the unemployment rate?

I see my children have come to me with many questions:
1) It's obvious to me that the right would like to exchange American's financial security for political gain. Hence, Republican statements pushing to defeat Obama's initiatives with no credible reason why other than to hurt him.
2) Keynesian policy has not only stabilized the economy my Minty, but now we see growth. Yes, the tax cuts and spending increases Obama passed cannot last for ever (I don't have to comb through the article to understand that), but the additional stimulus will help bridge the path to an uptick in the economic cycle while saving many jobs and lives....it worked in 1907, 1930s and it will work now. Right wing Republicans? They'll do nothing.
3) Revere...thank you for asking. Michigan is still standing due to government involvement in the Big Three (yes Ford benefitted as well). You see my dear friend, 750,000 jobs and the majority of our manufacturing base would have been destroyed if we had simply relied on the beloved free market to liquidate GM. Hence, we are thankful for the government involvement that has stabilized a horrible situation (unemployment down last month) and allowed Ford to post a full year profit for the first time since 2005 - all the while Toyota is reeling (I guess those southern states that sold their souls in tax breaks to get Toyota plants in town will have to watch a bunch of Fusions, F 150s, and Focuses dominate their streets). Thanks again Revere.

Remember the photos when the nuclear bombs were dropped in Japan? Not that bad, but not a hell of a lot better.

Since all but 1 right wing President has left the country in far worse shape than when they started it should be obvious to everyone. For some reason people still refuse to look at the past history of this great country.
Please link me to an example of the right wing being upset, because I can't seem to find any.
I second that.

That's a joke. Government Motors is still failing, government has done nothing for Michigan, nothign to do with Ford's profit, so it's time to take down Toyota like a good little Hugo Chavez wannabe.

I actually went on the Government websites a few days ago, trying to find a "Recovery" project that our business could apply to bid on. And I couldn't even find one when I ran their site search, for anything at all in the state of Virginia.

Gee, were you upset when the interest rate was even higher under Reagan after he had had two years to clean up a much smaller mess?
If Republicans don't want money spent to clean up messes, they should stop making them.
If I remember correctly, they were bitching and moaning about all Clinton was doing to clean up the Reagan/Bush 41 mess, but then wanted to take credit for the recovery when he got it cleaned.
Do what you do best . . . sit back and bitch and then tell yourself you had a hand in the cleanup even though even conservatives can't delude themselves enough to really believe they had anything to do with it when things finally get back on track.
Nixon - failed administration and an embarrassment . . . tons of laws broken and the Constitution trashed.
Ford - pardoned most that broke laws in Nixon administration.
Carter - The one Dem screw up
Reagan - created the greatest gap between haves and have nots in our history . . . ran up record deficits . . . had to admit on national tv that he lied to the American people about his illegal activity called Iran/Contra. . . next came the S&L fiasco and the economy coming back just to end up back in the crapper by the time he left.
Bush 41 - Claimed he was "out of the loop" on Iran/Contra and we were supposed to believe it even though it was run by the CIA and Bush was the former head of the CIA, so no surprise that he had everyone involved plead guilty and then pardoned all of them because Poindexter had a journal that named names and Bush's was a prominent one. And the economy continued to spiral downward.
Clinton - Had to veto his way into forcing the Republican Congress into pay as you go and into acting responsibly, but managed to turn the economy around and we enjoyed the longest period of peace an prosperity in 30 years. This is documented by a quote from George W. Bush who was caught on camera stating that he could not believe he won because when he was running against Al Gore, he was running against peace, prosperity and incumbancy.
George W. Bush - we are back to record deficits and the economy being destroyed by Republicans cutting taxes while getting us into two wars which has never been done before. Then to make things even worse, they pass a Medicare Bill that ends up being a windfall for their pharmaceutical buddies, but they do nothing about funding this. Then he has to hand out yet another big chunk of money and does nothing to control what the money is spent on in the TARP bill. He comes in with the economy seeing surpluses as far as the eye can see according to the CBO and takes us to the worse economy since the Great Depression.
Obama - comes in like Clinton to try to clean up yet another Republican screw up.
So, like I said, if conservatives don't want Dems to spend big bucks cleaning up THEIR messes, then don't make the messes.

Just because YOU can't get a handout doesn't mean it isn't working for others. I would doubt that there wasn't anyone in the entire state that did not qualify for some kind of help from the Stimulus/recovery. I think every state got money and used it, but of course the only way the program can be deemed a success if is it has money for YOU.

Ask Reagen, he spent huge amounts of our childrens money to fix the economy.
Ask Bush he created the largest deficit in human history.
If you want to see where money was spent that helped the American People then look at FDR, if you want to see where good money management helped the nation look at President Clinton.
Learn some real history for once you ideologically blind haters.

Apparently you didn't get what I said. I found NO RECOVERY PROGRAMS LISTED AT ALL FOR THE ENTIRE STATE OF VIRGINIA - FOR ANYBODY. If there were any, then they have already been taken ... with only half of the money having been committed. It wasn't a question of qualifying. It was a question of them existing.

No, that's already been eclipsed by Barack Obama, and will be again and again, with no end in sight.

Typical liberal response,
"But so-and-so did it, therefore that means such-and-such should do it"
What an intellectually weak response.
Citing the behavior of one person does not justify the bad behavior of another person.
