In the Lull of the 2nd Amendment Storm

The best time to talk about war is when you are not having one.

It would seem neocon Teabaggers can come out in droves against issues and pack guns to events, etc. I question why they are not up in arms about the abuse of the 2nd Amendment rights? The abortion crowd report for duty everyday at the clinics with protest signs and raising hell. They have made some gains, especially on partial birth abortions. So where are the gunners protesting on the streets? The signs?

Have we become so docile as to let the government disarm the 2nd Amendment "Shall Not Be Infringed?" Gunners should be seeking a complete removal of all gun laws, and climb over the NRA they pay dues to, to hit the streets in protests daily, everyday.

Nobody asked me, but I think gun owners are one of the most easily manipulated groups in the country. Some I've encountered (Yes, I'm an NRA member too) would elect Josef Stalin to office if he promised to protect their gun rights.

Right before the elections, a big hue and cry went up: "The gubbmint is gonna take yer guns !" - and millions of people went out and bought guns,stockpiled ammunition, and started talking about what they would do when the shit hit the fan. (Not "if", but "when".)

Nobody has given me any hard and fast answers, but I suspect guns have been selling at or near "list" price ; and I've heard ammo is selling at a premium above list price.

This makes me rub my chin (Mmm..I need a shave !) and wonder who started all the gun seizure "buzz".......and are they profiting by it ?
