ABC News has a sad story on the Iraqi power grid nearing collapse. I've read or heard various estimates that in Baghdad they only have power for two to a few hours each day and no fresh drinking water.

Four years or so after Mission Accomplished we're told the surge is working.

Get real. Bush and his echo John McCain of all people say we're winning. 'splain me this one. We kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's, displace a couple-3 million more, turn off the lights and poison the water. This is winning?

We're not going to win this war, the Iraqi government is too corrupt to ever just leave in charge. And staying there for ever isn't an option. Not to mention fanatical Muslims are never going to stop blowing themselves up.

The "Mission Accomplished" mantra makes you look foolish though, try to avoid using such tried and moronic talking points, it takes away from your message. Learn that wars and conflicts have multiple missions and it is possible to accomplish one mission, yet lose the war.

Oh, this 'war' is very definitely 'Mission Accomplished':

On May 10th, 2007, this video was banned in Congress.
Robert Greenwald, the director of IRAQ FOR SALE, was invited to testify before Congress by Rep. Jim Moran. He prepared four minutes from the documentary to show.
Republicans insisted this not be shown.

It's interesting that so many reports have stopped coming from Iraq completely. The number of citizens killed, the times the power grid is up, unemployment, the amount of potable water ...

There's a reason why all these reports have stopped months before Petraeus's report and it's not a coincidence.
