I saw it live Bill. It is hilarious. We have to wait until tomorrow to learn if Bernanke is a Cramer fan or not. Basically all Cramer is sayin is that, "We're in a hole. Keep digging."

Bernanke, if you go by his earlier statements, is not the guy who will fix this mess. It will be another Paul Volker who will raise rates to record highs, maybe as high as 35%, to suck cash back out of the system. Which is quite a dilemna.

By most accounts US assets total some 16 trillion as expressed in USD's. So why doesn't the market allow for 16 trillion USD's in circulation?

Paper money is not the real economy. It is a virtual expression of the real economy. Seems to me either our understanding of paper money is askew or the game is rigged. I can never quite decide. Like Mark Twain I'm left to ponder that, "Our country is led by really smart people who are just putting us on or we are led by idiots."
