Seems like he would be a good leader ,and is less sold out to the special interest than the others (of course most of that is probably due to his lack of time in Washington, call me cynical).

Liked his answers in the debate, even if I disagree with a lot of them. He's a straight shooter. Not sure how he could get along with a spin doctor, text book politician like Hillary if they team up.

Plus if Hillary is the presidential candidate and wins, Chris Rock will kill her.

One thing in his favor is his name - it'll drive the wingnuts right over the edge.

It's good that he's so inexperienced - all the experienced pols are crooks thru and thru, Obama might not have had time to be fully bought yet.

But, his meteoric rise is also cause for suspicion - is he really as clean as his image handlers proclaim? Or does his sudden popularity indicate a secret patronage?

Or is he simply the first candidate for the information generation, his sudden popularity an indication of the power of the netroots?

Face reality. Hillary will be the Democrat nom. She will likely pick Osama as her running mate, in order to win back the black vote that she alienated by beating him.

Sad but true.

Since the republicans have screwed everything up so bad, I guess it's gonna be "Madame President" real soon now.

Since one more pro-plutocracy anti-middle class activist judge on the supremes will turn this country into a puppet state for the corpers, I'll have to hold my nose and vote for her.

I note that you still haven't said who you will push the button for...

I don't vote in primaries so too early for me to tell.

I don't vote in primaries so too early for me to tell.

I was willing to speculate who I'd be obliged to vote for, (even tho it would physically pain me to do so) based on a future projection, and to give my primary reason for making that vote.

You think I like saying I'd have to push the button for Clinton? As a choice, I find her extremely lacking.

But, I can't vote straight libertarian, because that would end up being a default vote against the middle class, in the current situation.

I long for the day when I can go back to making my libertarian protest vote.

If I had to vote right now I would vote for Ron Paul.

LMAO @ voting for special interest Hillary as a victory for the middle class. Voting Dem/Rep is great if you are a CEO or a lazy dirtbag. if you are middle class both of these parties are not out to help you.

You're not playing the game legitimately.

If I had to vote right now, I'd vote for Richardson - but he's got no chance of making it to the big dance.

So, I intentionally made myself look at the statistically most likely choice sets, and made a decision based on likely outcomes.

Statistically, right now, the big dance is going to be a choice between Clinton and Guiliani.

Neither terribly appealing. But this is politics in america.

Re: middle class - you don't seem to be willing to grasp certain political relaities, which I will label as follows.

1. If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride.
2. The lesser of two evils is the better choice.

I despised Bill Clinton as a plutocratic sycophant pretending to be a democrat. I fully understand that Hillary Clinton is his clone.

But, given the example of the republicans, and what we have evidence that they will do, and knowing that my wishes for better candidates won't make them magically possible, I have decided what I believe the lesser of two evils would be.

I'll vote for the person who is most willing to kill terrorists, cut taxes, and reduce the size of the government. In sort, maximize freedom. That ain't Hillary.

It ain't Rudy, Fred, or Mitt either.

So let me get this straight, you are going vote based on who will fuck the middle class less, not who won't fuck the middle class. This kind of logic is exactly why we have the government we have.

That is true.

However, it's the choice set we have. "If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride.".

It's just one "lesser of two evils" choice in a personal political plan that hopes that better real choices may become available.

I'll remind you, in my political understanding, who we vote for is much less important than who we give money to.

If we don't vote, we only "embolden the terrorists", so I'm willing to hold my nose and vote.

But, it's who I'm going to give money to that defines my political will.

Right now, I'm not willing to donate to any of the major candidates. I gave a lot of money in the last election, and I get a constant stream of letters and emails, but for now I'm waiting to see where I should put my 2008 money.

According to your logic I should vote/donate whoever wins the Republican primary, because that is the only way my vote won't be "wasted" as I live in GA and that is the only person who has a chance of winning.

It ain't Rudy, Fred, or Mitt either. All three would do a better job of killing terrorists than Hillary, and especially Obama. I can't see Rudy of Mitt cutting taxes, in fact they would likely raise them. Fred is the only of the three that I have any liking to.
