People not really caring about the enviornment could be proof of this. Global warming, Climate Change, and end in natural resources. Has the media and politcians cried wolf for votes and ratings one too many times that when the time comes that a real crisis is at hand we will ignore it?

The trouble with real crisis is that it takes real work to solve them.

The made-up, trumped up crisis is much easier to solve because it is mostly fabrication to begin with.

People like easy, instant, ready-made solutions.
They have short attention spans.
Not something that will take some real logic torture to come up with solutions, many of which will only make marginal differences.

Religion is so much better, all those gift-wrapped, bubble gum answers & that easy feel-good rush.

Reality makes you earn your good feelings, & even then you are not quite sure.

Reality - the place where there is no free lunch.
Fantasy - where everything is a free lunch.
