You've almost certainly seen clips from the credit documentary "Maxed Out" - bits and pieces have been shown on a lot of programs - I saw it on the Oprah money and debt programs that were run last year, for instance.
It's online at google video, and it's definitely some crazy shit to watch - I was watching it - listening to it most of the time - while working.
Credit reform - another "third rail" of american politics, but you know, if some politician really grabbed the issue, and the corpers didn't destroy him, that would be something impressive.

So, I think that's a second plank to add to my political manifesto.
Plank 1 - Anti-incumbency - untill the politicians are more afraid of us than they are of the corpers.
Plank 2 - Credit Reform - undo the loan-sharking the passes for a credit industry. Screw the bankers.
